The loss to Odyssey Jones during the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament never sat well with Andre Chase, and he’s had it out for Jones ever since. After interfering in Jones’ last match, Chase finally met the colossal Superstar in the ring.

Imperium def. The Creed Brothers
Tag team rivalries intensify after match between Imperium and Creed Brothers: WWE NXT, Oct. 19, 202104:47
Jilted by not getting an opportunity for the NXT Tag Team Championship, The Diamond Mine and The Creed Brothers decided there was only one thing to do: destroy their way to the top. First in their path, Imperium.
The brothers’ physicality was on full display as the Creeds brutalized Marcel Barthel from the onset, preventing him from making a tag. Barthel slipped his was back to the corner to tag in Fabian Aichner, who, after a stellar display of strength, fell victim to the combined efforts of Julius and Brutus.
The Creed Brothers’ victory looked assured until Ikemen Jiro and Kushida ran out and began attacking The Diamond Mine members at ringside, allowing Imperium to pick up the win thanks to the distraction. Jiro and Kushida continued to brawl with The Diamond Mine in a fight that spilled into the backstage area following the match.
Meanwhile, in the ring, Aichner and Barthel soaked in their victory while watching the ensuing chaos until NXT Tag Team Champions MSK pounced on the unaware duo, beating them to the ringside floor. Wes Lee and Nash Carter then accepted Imperium’s challenge for the tag team titles at Halloween Havoc.

Io Shirai def. Persia Pirotta and Jacy Jayne in a Triple Threat Match
Io Shirai vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Persia Pirotta – Triple Threat Match: WWE NXT, Oct. 19, 202104:58
With the opportunity to spin the wheel for their upcoming NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match at Halloween Havoc, Io Shirai, Persia Pirotta and Jacy Jayne were chosen to represent their squads in a hotly contested Triple Threat Match.
Jayne only had her sights set on Shirai in the opening seconds, but Pirotta quickly inserted herself into the conversation with a vicious double clothesline. Recognizing Pirotta’s power, Jayne and Shirai called a truce to take down the NXT newcomer, but Pirotta reversed the double suplex attempt.
The match eventually spilled outside the ring with Shirai taking advantage via a moonsault off the apron, effectively knocking Jayne out of the match.
Down to two Superstars, Shirai could not seem to match the strength of Pirotta, who nearly earned the pin following a sit-down powerbomb. Shirai eventually rallied, showing off some strength of her own with a suplex, stepping over Pirotta and landing her incredible moonsault off the top rope for the three-count.
Shirai then joined her teammate Zoey Stark at the top of the ramp to spin the Halloween Havoc wheel, culminating in a “Scareway to Hell Ladder Match” for next week’s Women’s Tag Team Championship Match.

Legado Del Fantasma def. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen
Tag team partners Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen set this match in motion after stopping a would-be backstage assault by Legado del Fantasma earlier in the night. The Familia retaliated with a brutal beatdown with a steel chair just before stepping into the ring.
Shaken but undeterred, Briggs & Jensen made their way to the ring and seemed to have the advantage over Legado del Fantasma until Briggs made his way outside the ring and was promptly rammed into the side of the squared circle by Santos Escobar.
Escobar once again interfered, trying to distract Jensen, who was starting to mount a comeback. Jensen, however, ran out of the ring to quickly level Escobar. But he took his eyes off the prize and came back into the ring to find a huge kick to the face waiting for him, resulting in a victory for Legado del Fantasma.
LA Knight def. Grayson Waller
LA Knight put himself center stage at next week’s Halloween Havoc after a war of words on Twitter with Grayson Waller. As a result, the two Superstars collided for the right to host the show.
Waller was game for a fight, leaving Knight staggered after an early onslaught, but Knight caught the Australian with a huge kick and a facebuster for the victory and the right to host Halloween Havoc.
NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa & Bron Breakker def. The Grizzled Young Veterans
Bron Breakker said he was going to keep NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa safe and healthy for their showdown at Halloween Havoc, so when the two teamed up to take on The Grizzled Young Veterans, Breakker was the first to enter the fray.
After Breakker dominated James Drake for a while, Ciampa was forced to tag himself into the match after it appeared Breakker would not make the tag. The two Superstars seemed to taunt one another as Ciampa hit a running knee in the corner in front of Breakker, staring down the challenger the entire time. The tide finally turned in GYV’s favor as Zach Gibson pulled Ciampa outside the ring following an unseen tag, leading to a dive through the ropes by Gibson to send Ciampa to the floor.
GYV continued to take it to Ciampa, systematically breaking down the champ as Breakker could only watch from the corner. Ciampa earned some separation with a DDT but could not find his partner as Breakker was in the midst of running interference on Gibson outside the ring.
Back in his corner, Ciampa finally tagged Breakker in with a slap to the face. It looked like the partnership would implode, but Breakker instead went on the offensive with a massive clothesline. Breakker put the match away with a devastating powerslam but not before taking a moment to call out the champ as he hoisted Drake into the air and dropped him for the pin.
