Could the NWA be closing shop? Former WWE/WCW/ECW star Raven thinks so.
Raven was recently a guest on Hannibal TV and he told the host the NWA’s days could be numbered, “I think Billy’s shutting it (the NWA) down, from what I hear. From the grapevine, I heard that Billy’s not opening it back up, he’s really disillusioned.”
Raven’s inside information has been hit or miss over the years, so that should be taken in consideration when evaluating his comments. Corgan has reportedly lost large sums of money in Revolution Pro and Impact Wrestling, and with musical touring on hiatus indefinitely, income to fund wrestling activities may be the last thing from the Smashing Pumpkins’ lead singers mind. The loss of Dave Lagana also likely means Corgan would need to hire a new producer for NWA that might not come as cheap as Lagana who was involved from the ground up.
