Stairway to Janice is kicking things off at Hardcore Justice.
Abyss vs Bram
Stairway to Janice Match
Janice is hanging above the ring while weapons are litters around ringside. Early on Abyss hit an overhead belly to belly suplex on Bram onto a Ladder. The brawl spilled to the outside where Bram used a trash can on The Monster a few times. Abyss pulled a few barbed wire boards out from under the ring. Bram was shown bleeding from the head after being sent into the steel steps.
Moments later, Bram tried climbing the ladder but Abyss chokeslammed him off of it. Abyss poured out hundreds of thumbtacks onto the mats. A charging Bram was sent through one of the barbed wire board in a holy shit moment. Abyss used the opportunity to climb the ladder but Bram pushed the ladder over sending Abyss through the other barbed wire board.
Bram pulled down Janice. He went to use it on Abyss but The Monster cut him off. After an exchange, Abyss hit the Black Hole Slam on Bram into the tacks. Bram used Janice seconds later on the gut of Abyss to pick up the victory in this brutal match.
Reaction: Another hard-hitting match for fans of hardcore wrestling. Bram is being elevated in this feud with Abyss. He has constantly beaten the Monster at his own game. I see great things in Bram’s future.
Backstage, a camera man asked EC3 what his time in jail was like. He said it opened his eyes. He said those who were accountable for Dixie going through a table will be held accountable next.
Magnus congratulated Bram backstage. He then asked Bram if he was better than him? He said nobody outshines him. He said tonight he would win the Six Sides of Steel Match and then regain his World Title.
EC3, Spud and Rhino headed to the ring. He was pissed at the crowd for cheering the fact that his aunt went through a table. Last week, he demanded that Bully Ray be terminated for his actions against Bully. He was arrested. He thanked Kurt Angle for having him jailed, since he had a moment of clarity. He said someone else is to blame for what happened to Aunst D. He looked at Rhino and said what happened to Dixie was all of his fault.
Rhino said he would rather be dirt poor than listen to EC3. He told EC3 to shove his money up his ass. EC3 slapped Rhino and then attacked him right after. Spud tried pulling EC3 off but he shoved him away. EC3 caught Rhino with a running knee to finish him off.
Reaction: I love the more aggressive side of EC3 here. He plays a great comedy character but having him have more of a killer instinct will give him more credibility in the main event. An EC3 vs Rhino program is a great next step.
Samoa Joe was interviewed. Joe said they had a legacy written in blood. He said Low Ki was extremely self-confident that he could beat him for the title. A lot of people were confident yet he is the champion.
The Hardys were interviewed. They were asked what was left to prove? Matt said they are here to prove that they are the best tag team in the world. Jeff said they had a few others in mind to make this happen. Matt put over TNA for a resurgence in tag team wrestling.
Samoa Joe vs Low Ki
X Division Championship
Ki locked in a cool armbar over the top rope. The two exchanged strikes for the next few minutes of the match. Joe with the back body splash for a two count. Low Ki hit a really cool double foot stomp on Samoa Joe who was hanging on the ropes.
Joe turned a powerbomb into a Boston Crab. He turned that into an STF but Low Ki got to the ropes. Low Ki stopped Samoa Joe from hitting his Facewash. Ki springboarded with a big kick for a nearfall. Ki went for the Ki Krusher but couldn’t get Joe up. Joe was able to hit the Musclebuster right after for the victory. Joe is still your X Division Champion.
Reaction: Excellent match! I want to see more of these two. Give them 15-20 minutes at Bound For Glory and let them tear things down. If they build this feud up enough, you could even have this main event an episode of IMPACT. Nice hard-hitting action.
Backstage, The Hardys knocked on the door of Team 3D, who welcomed them in.
Mr. Anderson was being interviewed about his match with Shaw tonight. Anderson started talking crap about Gunner but Samuel Shaw interrupted. Things broke down into a fight where Anderson sent Shaw crashing down.

I Quit Match
Anderson and Shaw brawled through the entrance way as we returned from break. Shaw choked Anderson with a cable. Anderson hit the Fireman’s Roll onto the entrance ramp. Gunner came out and asked Anderson to stop which gave Shaw the advantage.
Shaw attacked Anderson at ringside but he refused to quit. The brawl continued in the ring where Shaw continued his assault. Shaw locked on in a modified Camel Clutch but Anderson powered out of it. A series of clotheslines followed by a neckbreaker from Anderson. Anderson hit an Armbreaker followed by an Armbar variation. Seconds later, Shaw quit.
Anderson continued to keep the hold on but Gunner got in and shoved him off. The two had a staredown but Anderson left the ring. Gunner checked on Shaw afterwards.
Reaction: It was an okay brawl. Anderson and Shaw have had so many different matches that I can’t really say I care much for this feud anymore.
The Hardys came out of Team 3D’s locker room. Team 3D was asked what that was about. Team 3D said what the Hardys proposed would breathe new life into tag team wrestling. There was one more piece of the puzzle.
We got footage of Angelina Love attacking Gail Kim backstage setting up tonight’s Last Knockout Standing Match. Elsewhere, Kurt Angle said Gail came to her and requested the match.
Bobby Roode was interviewed earlier today. Roode talked about wanting to always be the best. The World Title signifies being the best. When he sat at home for seven weeks, it made him sick. Tonight he gets the opportunity inside Six Sides of Steel.
The Hardys made their way to the ring. Jeff said he and Matt reunited because the time and place were right. Jeff called down Team 3D so they could break down their idea for them. Bully put over Team 3D saying they put Dixie Carter through a table. The crowd chanted for Hardys and 3D, yelling “one more time.” Bully said since they are getting inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, it would be cool for them to be tag team champions one more time. Bully called out the tag team champions.
The Wolves headed out and joined the others in the ring. Eddie put over the Hardys and Team 3D. He said he wanted what they have. Davey said if they wanted a shot at these belts, then anytime and anywhere.
Reaction: So The Hardys’ idea was a 3-Way Tag. I wish TNA gave Hardy an opportunity to actually say what his idea was. I am all for these teams tearing it up. They could have a series of good matches.
Mike Tenay joined Dixie Carter for an interview. She was lying in her bed. She said as soon as she went through the table, she knew something was wrong. The surgeon told her that she had broken her back and fractured her rib. She watched the video back once but it brought back the memory and the pain. She said from here on out, she will focus on TNA business. She said they haven’t seen the last of Dixie Carter. A Carter never forgets.
Reaction: Dixie Carter came off completely sympathetic here as she should have. She was a smaller women being ganged up on and put through a table by much bigger men.

Gail Kim vs Angelina Love

Velvet Sky accompanied Angelina Love to the ring. Gail went after Angelina from the opening bell. The assault continued in the ring where Love hotshotted Gail hard into the turnbuckle. A modified Jawbreaker got Angelina a seven count. Gail dropkicked a baking tray into the face of Angelina. Gail went to jump off the top turnbuckle but Velvet smacked her with another baking tray.
Gail went for a move on the steel steps but Velvet pulled her leg sending Gail hard into the steps for an 8 count. Gail locked in a Figure Four around the ring post but Velvet again interfered. Gail was going to use a chair but after Velvet interfered allowed Angelina to kick it in her face with the Botox Injection. We got a loud “better than the divas” chant.
The Beautiful People tried a double team move but Gail threw Velvet into Angelina. Gail then hit a brutal Air Raid Crash move onto the chair below. This gained Gail the victory for a ten count. Gail is still your Knockouts Champion.
Reaction: Another physical match. While we have seen Gail vs Angelina more than enough, the two delivered a very good match here. The Botox Injection into the chair was the coolest spot. Where was Taryn Terrell to deal with Velvet. That seemed like a logical person to come to Gail’s aid.
Kurt Angle announced a Tag Team Title Series between The Hardys vs Team 3D vs The Wolves. The first team to win two matches wins the series and the titles. Kurt said the winner of the match gets to pick the stipulation of the next match.
Reaction: Sounds like an incredible series of matches. I am excited for this. Reminds me of the tag series in 1999-2001.
MVP, Lashley and Kenny King walked out. MVP talked about getting injured before Slammiversary and Lashley stepping up and bringing home the gold. Eric Young was the first victim, Jeff Hardy was next and Austin Aries was after him. MVP said this next match determines the new challenger and they aren’t at all worried. Whoever wins the cage match has already lost will be the next piece of meat for the beast.
Gunner vs Magnus vs James Storm vs Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode vs Eric Young
Six Sides of Steel
The winner of this match will be the first to escape the cage. They will also earn a World Title shot against Lashley.
This thing started off as a brawl with everyone going at it. Storm and Magnus tried escaping but the others cut them off. They got sent hard into one of the cage walls. A bunch of guys were climbing on the cage as we headed to another breaker.
Bobby Roode was hanging onto James Storm by his hair as he was outside the cage. Roode brough Storm back in. Storm went for the Eye of the Storm but Roode countered into the Crossface. Elsewhere, Magnus locked a Sharpshooter on Magnus while Aries locker Gunner in the Last Chancery. EY and Aries battled on the top rope before Aries hit a Big Missile Dropkick.
The guys started hitting their finishers on each other. The brawling continued for the next few minutes. Eric Young and Bobby Roode hit simultaneous tower of doom moves. Both men the started climbing the cage at the same time and exiting. The escaped at what appeared to be the same time. Both referees held up the hand of EY and Roode. The referees argued as the confusion closed the show.
Reaction: Chaotic match with a chaotic finish. It looked like Eric Young climbed up and down faster but with editing, they fixed the issue. We will probably get a match between EY and Roode to delay Roode’s inevitable World Title Match with Lashley.
