History of the Warren Perdue Memorials Wrestling Show
This is a charity wrestling show that was created in memory of Warren Perdue. He passed away on Dec. 11th 2006 from his battle with cancer. Tom Bellman is the Founder and wanted to remember the person that got him into wrestling in the first place, Warren.
The very first show happened on March 3rd 2007 and has been a huge success ever since. Former TNA star Shark Boy has appeared every year, along with Waynesville’s own Tom Bellman, Todd Mullins, Donny Redd, Tony X, Heather Owens, Ed Gonzales, and Will Jones(till 2010).
Linn Muselin wrestled on the very first show, but didn’t know Warren. He still wanted to remember his fellow Spartan. Linn took the Shark Tank III class with Bellman and Scary Garry(Banks), another Waynesville native. Sadly on Oct. 23rd 2007, Linn passed away due to cardiac arrest.
This show benefits two students of Waynesville High School. Scholarships in both Warren and Linn’s names in the amount of $500 are given out at a ceremony in May. Warren’s goes to a student with a 2.5 GPA or above. Linn’s will go to a Drama student or a Thespian.
The show is also in memory of Will Jones. Jones took a couple of Shark Tank classes and appeared on the WPMWS until 2010. Will passed on Feb. 12th 2011. He is always remembered for his heart and caring friendship.
We have also featured Former TNA, WCW, WWF/E, and ECW greats such as Shark Boy(’07-’13), Al Snow(’11), Jimmy Wang Yang(’12), Eugene(’12), Dan”The Beast”Severn(’12), and Goldust(’13).
