– Jay Briscoe has completely lost his mind going into Final Battle 2013. His final statement before the event is one of the most intense things that you will ever see.
– The main event THIS Saturday is truly unpredictable and there are many elements to this bout that have everyone intrigued. “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin definitely has a legitimate claim of being the uncrowned champion. But don’t forget the invitation from Adam Cole to his friend and “mentor” to attend the event to see him “on top of the world”. Check out the ROH World Champion’s blog right HERE to see his request.
– Congratulations to Matt Taven, who is officially the longest reigning ROH World TV Champion in history.
– The huge tag team match THIS Saturday with Roderick Strong & Jay Lethal vs. Eddie Edwards and a mystery partner is significant on many levels. It is quite possibly the last ROH appearance for “Diehard” Eddie Edwards. Therefore, Nigel McGuinness no doubt needed to consider not just the wishes of the fans, but had to select a partner deserving of this spot in ROH history. The mystery partner will not be revealed until THIS Saturday so you must be there live to be the first to find out who Nigel McGuinness has selected!
– Not only is Jay Lethal focused on his big tag match this Saturday, but he has also stated that he will have a very close eye on the ROH Television Title defense between Matt Taven and Tommaso Ciampa.
– Last week, Matt Hardy prepared a video statement and submitted it to Ring of Honor. In it, he claimed he has one more ROH appearance guaranteed by contract. According to him, he would not sue ROH for breach…but rather than trust Matt Hardy’s always questionable integrity, Nigel McGuinness has decided to grant this request and has signed Matt Hardy vs. Adam Page! Hardy’s video statement and subsequent social media campaign have pleaded for him to be selected as Eddie Edwards’ Final Battle tag team partner. Obviously, Matt Hardy is undeserving of this honor. He spent months working to destroy Ring of Honor with SCUM. Unlike former SCUM members like Kevin Steen and Jimmy Jacobs, Hardy has shown no indication that he regrets his former actions. As exemplified in his self indulgent video statement, Matt Hardy cannot be trusted as a cooperative partner for a Triple Crown champion’s possible last ROH match. This new opportunity is a huge one for Adam Page…and should satisfy Matt Hardy’s legal advisors. A deal is a deal. Matt Hardy WILL be in action at Final Battle. After that, Ring of Honor’s commitments to him are over.
– The ROH World Tag Team Championship match THIS Saturday at Final Battle 2013 has been in the making since Outlaw Inc.’s début at Manhattan Mayhem V back in August. Outlaw Inc. has been trying to prove themselves to Nigel McGuinness since the start and Nigel has taken their promises of “honorable behavior” with a grain of salt. Homicide and Eddie Kingston wear suits, shake hands, and act “corporate” in a condescending way, however they have proved to be dominant – with an undefeated record. Nigel had no choice but to accept them as legitimate challengers. Outlaw Inc. is the real deal but reDRagon is quickly becoming one of the greatest tag teams in ROH history. Outlaw Inc. are like no other team that reDRagon has ever faced, leading to a fascinating contest where history could be made.
– Silas Young with words for Mark Briscoe going into their Strap Match!This Saturday both men will be bound together with a leather strap and are allowed to whip, choke, and beat each other until one is able to drag the other around the ring and touch all four corner-posts. Expect this one to be rough.
– Kevin Steen vs. Michael Bennett could easily steal the show at Final Battle 2013. The hostility is high and both men have a lot to lose.
– There will be a special tag team bout taped as a Ringside Member Exclusive before the Final Battle 2013 event starts at 7:30pm.

The 2014 Top Prospect Tournament is filled with people who have excelled at past camps. The latest camp produced many people who could hang in this years tourny but spots are very limited. We are lining up our next camp for the first weekend of March 2014. More details soon!
– The Ring of Honor 2014 Top Prospect Tournament begins on January 4th, 2014 in Nashville, TN! Four opening round matches and the semi-finals will all take place in Nashville on January 4th. The Finals will take place on January 25th in Pittsburgh at “Wrestling’s Finest” and not only will the winner be named the ROH 2014 Top Prospect but he will also shoot to the top of the ranks earning an ROH TV Title Match on Friday, February 21st in Philadelphia, PA at our 12th Anniversary. The tournament includes COREY HOLLIS, RAYMOND ROWE, “THE BENCHMARK” BILL DALY, CHEESEBURGER, ANDREW EVERETT, THE ROMANTIC TOUCH, and you can expect the 7th entrant to be announced tomorrow and the final entrant will be announced this Friday.
