Triple H and Stephanie McMahon comes to the ring, Triple H says this show cannot go on without cautious without them. Triple H says they will deal with Vickie Guerrero’s decision and they are well rested. Randy Orton interrupts, He comes to the ring. He says that he blames them for him being attacked from the Big Show last week. He says because he is the face of the WWE then they need to protect him better than they are right now. Stephanie says that he is right but interrupts her. Triple H says that he is the face of their WWE. Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox come to the stage, they want to apologize for what happened last week and Brad blames Vickie for the confusion. Triple H says they all have to pay tonight, Stephanie adds that the two of them will be in matches of their own. Vickie is going one on one with AJ Lee and Brad is going one on one with Randy Orton next!
AR’s Truth: A good segment especially from Randy Orton, He was fired up and stood out in this segment. It’s odd that if Vickie and Brad was hiding from the “Authority” that they would interrupt them in a heated moment. Also nice touch to plug for Survivor Series by Stephanie.
Randy Orton Vs. Brad Maddox ends in a no contest
AR’s Truth: It was what it was and showed a dangerous side of Orton but it doesn’t help that Michael Cole points out that the Big Show is here tonight and doesn’t make the save. It’s a bit odd but otherwise a good showcase for the face of the WWE.
Intercontinental Title Match: Big E. Langston Def. Curtis Axel ©
AR’s Truth: No doubt it was time for Axel to lose the title. I think it could have been more special that he won it at Survior Series but instead I think they will go with a rematch at the PPV. Good to see the big man get the title and he has a big upside. Good but short match 3-5* Match.
They have divas musical chairs that turns into a big brawl involving all divas.
AR’s Truth: You know a segment is bad when the announcers make fun of it. Wow, all that was a plug for Total Divas.
The Big Show Def. Ryback
AR’s Truth: a decent back and forth action match. Ryback hit an impressive “shell shock” on the big man but other than that Big Show carried him through it. Luckily it was pretty short of a match and we didn’t have to suffer. Decent 2-5* Match.
Real Americans Def. Kofi Kingston and The Miz
Ar;s Truth: a decent back and forth action match but two main points. Real Americans get the win and momentum into their tag title match and Miz finally turns heel. I assume this leads to a Miz Vs. Kingston feud which should give some good quality matches.
Broadway Brawl: Dolp Ziggler Def. Damien Sandow
AR’s Truth: a fun back and forth action match that had a lot of head shots. It was a fun match and interesting to see Sandow lose on the show. A match at Survivor Series maybe?
John Cena comes to the ring, his arm is in a sling, he says because he had some bad luck and shows a video of Alberto Del Rio attacking the arm. He asks did he come back too soon and should he be world champion but he looks around and says damn right he should be here. He says that he is banged up but pride is forever and after Sunday he is still the World Heavyweight champion. Alberto Del Rio comes to the stage; he says that his speech almost made him cry as he walks to the ring. Del Rio asks Cena to hold the title with his injured arm right now. Del Rio says he will be embarrassed in front of his family. He says a real champion says takes an opportunity when it is granted. They start brawling and when Cena goes for the AA, Del Rio escapes out of the ring.
AR’s truth: that was the best they have done to build this PPV match up. I still think Cena walks out as champion.
R Truth and Xavier Woods Def. Rhinestone Cowboys
AR’s truth: A fun tag match and with Woods making his debut it should be noted that he and Truth are a tag team now. WWE has a ton of tag teams on their hands and it should be fun who they can feud with.
6 Man Tag Team Match: Daniel Bryan, Cm Punk, The Uso’s & Rhode Brothers Def. The Shield & the Wyatt Family
Ar’s Truth: a good main event with a surprise return. I think they should have waited to have Rey Mysterio return at Survivor Series but I pretty sure he is the mystery man for the PPV.
Overall Rating: This was a huge improvement from WWE, the fans prayers was answered. From the first real match with a title change to less wrestling and actually felt like a TV show not a live event. The developed storylines helped a lot. This was good edition of Raw and right way to go into Survivor Series PPV this Sunday.
