* There was a new backstage announcer named Gilbert Corsey. He interviewed Bad Influence about the Gauntlet match.
* Footage aired from last night’s TNA Hall of Fame ceremony honoring Kurt Angle. The other members of the Main Event Mafia (Samoa Joe, Magnus and Sting) were shown giving speeches before Angle stepped up to the podium and thanked his supporters.
* The Mafia were shown in their locker room preparing for the PPV. Samoa Joe gave a pep talk to Sting and Magnus about tonight being their night and that the Aces & Eights were on the cusp of destruction. Kurt Angle walked in and they wished him luck in his match with Bobby Roode.

Bad Influence vs. Joseph Park & Eric Young vs.
The BroMans with Phil Heath vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez
* Bad Influence defeated Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. Daniels rolled up Chavo for the pin after Chavo got knocked off the top rope by Kazarian.
* Joseph Park and Eric Young defeated Bad Influence. EY pinned Daniels after a Samoan Drop from Park. Bad Influence attacked Park and EY following the loss. Park was injured (bleeding from the mouth) and escorted to the back.
* Bro Mans defeated Eric Young in a handicap match. Robbie pinned EY after a double team Hart Attack to become the #1 contenders to the World Tag Team Titles.
Winners: The BroMans
* Eric Young was backstage looking for Joseph Park. He opened a door and then told the camera man to step back as Park was supposedly in Abyss mode.
* Bully Ray came out and said tonight is about the resurrection of the Aces & Eights. Bully said he is bound for greatness while AJ Styles is bound for embarrassment.
* Dixie Carter approached Bully backstage and asked if tonight will be AJ’s last night in TNA. Bully laughed and walked off.

Austin Aries vs. Manik vs. Chris Sabin vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe
Usual crazy opening with brawling in and outside the ring. Manik with some big counters early on. Jeff Hardy pulls Austin Aries off the cables and drops him on his face first lifting him up with a powerbomb. Ladder gets involved with Samoa Joe hitting a suicide dive, Chris Sabin hitting a baseball slide to Joe and Manik catching Sabin with a dropkick. Manik pulls Aries when he his near the middle on the ropes. Manik with a big springboard huricanrana taking Sabin over the top rope. Joe with huge shots to Aries in the corner. Aries with big dropkicks to Hardy and Joe in different corners. Joe with a rear naked choke on Aries and then swings him around to break it. Hardy with Whisper in the Wind in the corner on Sabin. Ladder is brought in and setup under the belt. Joe and Hardy are up. Joe sends Hardy off. Aries dropkicks Joe off the ladder. Sabin takes out Aries and Manik when Aries is on a ladder and Manik leaps to the X cables. Twist of Fate on Sabin. Sabin tosses Velvet in the ring telling her to help. Hardy tries to get her out. Sabin jumps in and climbs the ladder. Sabin grabs the title, hits Hardy with it, and quickly jumps down hitting the mat to get the win.

After the match, Chris Sabin grabs Velvet Sky and celebrates with the TNA X Division Championship. Sky isn’t happy with being used to help Sabin get the win. We see highlights of the match leading to the finish.
We go back to June 19, 2002 when AJ Styles defeated Jerry Lynn to become the first ever TNA X-Division Champion.

Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) are out next. Kazarian is not happy that they will not get a shot at the TNA Tag Team Championships tonight. Daniels demands they be added to the title match tonight. Eric Young is out next. Young said he isn’t a trouble maker, but wants to point out that they created a monster. Bad Influence attacks him. Abyss is out next. Abyss hits the ring and levels Daniels and Kazarian with big clotheslines. Mike Tenay points out we haven’t seen Abyss since Slammiversary in June. Black Hole Slam on Daniels. Black Hole Slam on Kazarian as well. Abyss walks over to Young and extends his hand to help him up. Young smiles and points as Abyss poses.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with TNA Tag Team Champions James Storm and Gunner. Gunner talks about Robbie E and Jessie earning the shot tonight. Storm tells them sorry about your damn luck.
“Mr. Olympia” Phil Heath is out with The BroMans at ringside tonight. James Storm and Gunner toss Robbie E into Jessie early on. Gunner and Jessie get things going as Gunner levels Jessie with a quick shoulder block. Gunner launches Jessie to the corner and gets in a few chops. Tag to Robbie E who gets help from Jessie to launch Gunner in the corner and Robbie mounts Gunner dropping some big rights. Quick tag to Jessie near the corner as Jessie gets in a few shots. Tag back to Robbie who applies a quick headlock. Gunner attempts a backslide and Jessie runs in connecting with a dropkick to the head of Gunner to break it up. Tag back to Jessie who keeps Gunner grounded with big kicks. Gunner responds with a big fallaway slam on Jessie from the second rope. Hot tag to Storm. Storm unloads on Robbie and Jessie ending with a big superkick on Jessie. Storm with a big kick to the head on Robbie in the corner and follows with a neckbreaker. Gunner with an electric chair on Robbie and Storm with a front suplex dropping Jessie over Robbie. Storm off the top with a flying elbow, hooks the leg on Robbie and Robbie kicks out. Jessie immediately jumps in with kicks. Gunner takes out Jessie. Robbie with a quick russian leg sweep on Gunner. Storm has a big cut on his leg. Robbie counters an Eye of the Storm and connects with a DDT on Storm, hooks the leg and Storm kicks out. Gunner with a backbreaker across the knee on Robbie. Gunner levels Jessie with a clothesline, plants Robbie with a powerbomb, lifts him up and Storm with a backcracker. Jessie breaks up the pinfall.
Crowd can’t believe that the pinfall got broken up. Storm with a Codebreaker on Jessie. We can see a shot of Robbie tossing one of the tag belts in the ring. The referee sees this and tosses it out. Robbie with a clothesline to the back of the head on Storm. Jessie then lifts up Storm, Robbie comes off the ropes and catches Storm with a big clothesline. Robbie covers Storm and gets the pinfall. Crowd can’t believe it.

After the match, The BroMans celebrate the big title win with “Mr. Olympia” Phil Heath.
We see highlights of the 2013 TNA Hall of Fame ceremony featuring inductee Kurt Angle.

Sting is out first. Sting talks about Angle’s winning a gold medal in the Olympics for the United States of America. He talks about Angle transitioning to the world of pro wrestling and his quick success that followed. Sting introduces Kurt Angle. Big reaction for Angle in San Diego. Angle thanks God, his family and the fans. Very brief speech by Angle saying he can’t even describe in words what it means. Sting says he is pretty lonely in the TNA Hall of Fame and hands Angle a box. Angle opens it up and inside is a watch. Sting leads the crowd in a chant for Angle. An emotional Angle takes the mic and says, “The truth is – I’ve let myself, my family and my peers down without living up to my real potential and the standard you (Sting) have set for the Hall of Fame. Which is why, I’m going to respectfully decline this Hall of Fame induction. I’m going to set a new standard for myself, for this company, for the industry – everything I’ve accomplished in the past is going to mean nothing to what I accomplish in the future.” Angle said when he feels worthy, he will join him in the Hall of Fame.
We go back to September 20, 2009 when AJ Styles become the new TNA Champion at No Surrender 2009.
Backstage, TNA President Dixie Carter greets Ethan Carter III. She tells Ethan she has hand picked an opponent for him tonight. They say a motto – “The world needs us, we’re the Carters” to close the segment.
ODB levels Brooke and Gail Kim early on. ODB with a fallaway slam on Brooke. Brooke with big kicks to the lower back of ODB and follows with more stomps. Gail attempts a series of roll ups on ODB and Brooke that result in two counts. Brooke with a facebuster from the corner on ODB. Brooke with a swinging neckbreaker on ODB. Gail trips up Brooke from the ropes and locks on a Figure Four against the steel ring post on her. ODB gets a single leg Boston Crab applies on Brooke. Brooke starts crawling and ODB pulls her back out to the center. Gail with a quick shot to Brooke and then a kick to ODB to break it up. Brooke and Gail are brawling near the top turnbuckle. ODB jumps up, hooks the heads of both, but they push her off. Gail with a big dropkick to ODB. Brooke off the top with a flying elbow. ODB with shoulder blocks and then a double clothesline to both Brooke and Gail. ODB has Gail up in a vertical suplex and then back down. Referee bump with ODB splashing him in the corner. Gail follows with a dropkick that takes out the referee as well falling out of the ring. ODB puts Brooke up on the top turnbuckle, puts Gail on her shoulders, grabs Brooke and puts her on top of Gail, Brooke falls off, Gail kicks Brooke and then ODB drops Gail over Brooke. ODB covers both girls when Lei’D Tapa walks out. ODB takes a drink from her flask, runs up, gets in a few elbows, runs back and Tapa drops her with a big kick. Brooke jumps off the top turnbuckle, Tapa catches her and powerbombs her back in the ring. Gail crawls over and gets the pinfall.

After the match, Lei’D Tapa grabs the TNA Knockouts Championship, picks up Gail Kim and hands it to her. Tapa raises her arm and they hug. Tapa puts Kim on her shoulder as they celebrate some more.
Backstage, we see a shot of The BroMans celebrating winning the TNA Tag Team Championships with “Mr. Olympia” Phil Heath. They celebrate by spraying protein shakes.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Bobby Roode. Roode mocks Angle turning down the Hall of Fame tonight.

Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode
Early takedowns between the two to kick off the match. Roode with an armbar takedown attempting a Crossface when Angle counters out and bails. Roode yells out at Angle, “That close!” Angle returns to the ring, gets an Ankle Lock applied and Roode counters sending Angle to the outside. They exchange shots at ringside with Roode getting in a knee and sending Angle face first into the ring apron. Angle with a big shoulder block from the ring apron when Roode returns and runs in with a big charge. Roode rakes the eyes and drops Angle’s jaw off the top rope. Roode drops an elbow over the neck of Angle and then applies pressure using his boot back in the ring continuing to focus on the neck. Roode with a quick neckbreaker. Roode continues to work on the neck. Big comeback from Angle with clotheslines, german suplex hanging on, second german suplex with Angle hanging on, Roode with elbows and Angle with a overhead belly to belly suplex. Angle with a third german suplex with a release getting a two count. Roode responds with a big spinebuster. Angle counters Roode and gets the Ankle Lock applied. Roode powers out, sends Angle shoulder first into the steel ring post and then executes a dropping armbar. Roode gets the Crossface applied. Angle fights out and misses a moonsault when Roode rolls out of the way. Roode goes back to the Crossface. Angle reaches out, grabs Roode’s ankle and gets a Key Lock/Ankle Lock applied. Roode is reaching for the bottom rope. Roode flips forward and gets the Crossface locked on.
Angle counters into a pinfall. Roode kicks out. Roode attempts one of his own. Angle kicks out. Roode gets Angle back down in the Crossface. Angle rolls out and gets the Angle Slam on Roode. Angle hooks the leg and gets a close two count. Roode gets in a low blow on Angle when the referee didn’t see. Roode has Angle up in a fireman’s carry and plants him with a Death Valley Driver/cutter modified move. Angle kicks out. Angle gets the Ankle Lock applied again on Roode. Roode rolls to his back, tries to power out, but Angle hangs on and keeps it applied. Angle drops down and applies more pressure. Roode is trying to fight his way to the ropes. Roode appears to pass out. The referee raises his hand and when it drops down his hand falls on the bottom rope. The referee forces Angle to break the Ankle Lock. The crowd in San Diego starts to chant “BULLSH*T.” Angle picks up Roode and places him up on the top turnbuckle. Angle with big rights to Roode and climbs up to the second rope with Roode. Angle gets up on the top turnbuckle, puts Roode on his shoulders and falls back with an Angle Slam from the top turnbuckle. The referee starts the count with both men down. Roode is up at the 9 count. Roode falls back over Angle and Roode gets the pinfall.
Winner: Bobby Roode
After the match, Tenay and Taz talk about Kurt Angle not moving after he hit the ring with the Angle Slam off the top turnbuckle on Bobby Roode. TNA officials and referees are now in the ring. They put a neckbrace on Angle and then put him on a stretcher. Angle removes the neckbrace as they place him on a stretcher at ringside. Angle gets off the stretcher and heads to the back.
We go back to Bound for Glory 2009 when AJ Styles defeated Sting to retain the TNA Championship in the main event.
Backstage, we see a shot of AJ Styles getting his gear on.
Backstage, TNA Champion Bully Ray is giving a speech about how tonight is “all about our colors, our championship and our creed. When you ride with the Aces and Eights, you never walk alone.”
Ethan Carter III vs. Norv Fernum
Norv Fernum is PWG wrestler “Pretty” Peter Avalon. EC3 with a big arm drag early on. Norv goes to work on the left arm of EC3 and EC3 responds with a big right hand. EC3 overwhelms Norv in the corner with repeated shots. EC3 with an overhead suplex. Norv attempts shoudler blocks off the ropes, but EC3 remains on his feet. Norv catches EC3 with a few dropkicks, goes up top and connects with a cross body for a two count. EC3 headlocks Norv and drives him down face first. EC3 hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Ethan Carter III
After the match, we see a highlight of the finish with Ethan Carter III winning in his debut.
Backstage, Jeremy Borsh is with Magnus. Magnus understands he is in Sting’s backyard tonight. He said he has everything to lose tonight and feels just a little bit more dangerous. “I have a date with destiny and she is getting impatient,” adds Magnus to close the promo.

Magnus vs. Sting
Sting catches Magnus early on with a big elbow that sends Magnus to the outside. Magnus is back in with shoulder charges to Sting in the corner, follows with a snapmare and driving knees into the back of Sting. Sting with a series of shots, clotheslines to Magnus and connects with the Stinger Splash in the corner. Sting immediately goes for the Scorpion Deathlock and gets it locked in. Magnus is trying to power out and Sting leans back with more pressure. Double clothesline spot with both meeting in the middle of the ring. Sting with shots to Magnus, Magnus brushes them off and does the Sting flex pose. Magnus with his own version of the Stinger Splash and sitdown powerbomb on Sting resulting in a two count. Magnus with big rights. Sting brushes them off and gets in a flex of his own. Second Stinger Splash to Magnus in the corner. Magnus face bumps and Sting gets the Scorpion Deathlock applied again. Magnus gets to the bottom rope. Magnus catches Sting with an uppercut when Sting went for a third Stinger Splash. Magnus with a Scorpion Deathdrop on Sting and he goes up top. Magnus connects with a flying elbow. Magnus goes back up top, but misses with a second flying elbow when Sting rolls away. Magnus blocks a Scorpion Deathdrop holding the ropes and hitting Sting with elbows. Sting takes a face bump, stands back up and is daring at Magnus to bring it. Magnus with a takedown and gets a Texas Cloverleaf applied. Sting taps.
Winner: Magnus
After the match, Magnus jumps up on the corner and celebrates. Magnus goes to each corner and celebrates his win. Sting tries to get his attention by extending his hand. Magnus smiles, shakes his hand and quickly leaves the ring.
We go back to the No Surrender 2013 special on Spike TV with AJ Styles defeating Magnus to win the Bound for Glory Series.
Backstage, TNA Champion Bully Ray and Brooke are with Jeremy Borash. Ray says AJ Styles reeks of fear. He promises AJ will return home to his “trailer home of a mansion” and will have to stare at his child as a loser.

Borash handled the ring introductions for the challenger AJ Styles and champion Bully Ray. Ray with a big scoop slam and backs off in the corner early on. Ray with a huge clothesline on Styles. Styles fights back with right hands when Ray insults his family. Styles with a huge dropkick on Ray. Styles with an early submission and Garett Bischoff runs down for the distraction on the ramp. Ray has a hammer as Styles bails and backs down Bischoff. When Styles returns, he blocks a shot from Ray using the hammer, grabs it and Ray chops Styles hard sending him flying into the ropes. Another big chop from Ray. Ray with another shot to the back of Styles and another chop in the corner. Styles is back up slapping Ray and daring him to bring it. Styles with huge rights and Ray fires back with a giant right of his own leveling Styles. Ray with a big chop and Styles stays up. Styles kicks away at the leg of Ray and takes him down with a big dropkick to the knee. Knux hits the ring, Styles jumps off the top turnbuckle, Knux catches him and plants Styles with a big chokeslam. Ray hooks the leg and Styles kicks out. Ray gets in the face of referee Earl Hebner arguing over the pinfall. Ray charges, takes out Knux by accident and Styles gets a close roll up for a two count. Ray with a huge kick that launches Styles to the outside. Ray picks up the hammer at ringside, goes to hit Styles with it and Styles kicks Ray in the back of the head. Styles has the hammer. He instead knocks Ray off the announce table. Styles returns to the ring going up top.
Styles springboards off the top rope with a 450 Splash and crashes through as Ray moves. Nasty looking spot by Styles. At ringside, Taz appears to hand Ray a weapon allowing Ray to cut open and expose the ring. Ray spits in the air and catches the spit back in his mouth. Ray jumps up and stomps over the exposed boards. A loud “ECW” chant starts up in San Diego. Ray is calling for Aces and Eights when TNA President Dixie Carter walks out. Dixie asks for security to hand her a steel chair and shen gives it to Ray. Back in the ring, Styles with a springboard forearm hitting the chair into the face of Ray. Styles springboards off the top rope and connects with a huge 450 Splash. Ray hooks the leg of Ray. Dixie yells at referee Earl Hebner to not count the pinfall. Hebner yells back at Dixie. Hebner counts 1 and then shortly after that Ray quickly gets a shoulder up. Styles stares down Dixie as he picks up Ray. Styles looks to go for a Styles Clash when Ray counters and back body drops Styles on the exposed boards. Ray pulls himself up using the ropes and goes to the top turnbuckle. Ray jumps and connects with his back over the chest of Styles. Ray blows a kiss to Dixie, hooks the leg and Styles gets a shoulder up. Ray grabs the steel chair and cracks it over the back of Styles. Ray with a second chair shot to the back of Styles. Ray picks up Styles, attempts a powerbomb, Styles counters and catches Ray with a Pele Kick. Styles with a chair shot to the head of Ray. Styles goes up to the top turnbuckle with Ray down on the mat.
Styles jumps off the top and connects with the Spiral Tap. Styles covers Ray for the pinfall.

After the match, AJ Styles is handed the TNA Championship and he holds it high with help from referee Earl Hebner. We see a shot of an upset TNA President Dixie Carter watching from the ramp. We see highlights of the match leading to the finish.

I really don’t understand putting the World Title on AJ Styles again, I really feel that ship has sailed, and I don’t see what value it gives the company as a drawing power.
