In their ever-persistent attempt to paint a failing picture of TNA, the professional wrestling interweb “journalists” have been trying their hardest to make a few comments offered by former iMPACT Wrestling General Manager Hulk Hogan into something much more than it is in reality. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Hogan mentioned the following with respect to his contractual negotiations with iMPACT Wrestling:”
“We couldn’t figure things out. We’re talking, but I’m wide open right now.”
As usual, no one in professional wrestling knows how to work the media like “The Immortal” one himself. When it came to talking about a possible return to WWE, Hogan offered the following comments regarding a recent run in with Triple H:
“He just welcomed me with open arms. He said if ever I decide I get the itch to come back home [the door’s open].”
The truth is that this “report” from the Associated Press gives absolutely no new information on what Hogan plans to do with his contract. Clearly, Hogan is working the media in his favor during his contract negotiations with Dixie Carter and the team at TNA. As someone who has followed Hogan’s contractual status for a number of years, I’m enjoying watching the creator of Hulkamania use the media to his advantage. I suggest everyone out there on the interwebs sit back and do the same!
