Former WCW Saturday Night and Monday NITRO announcer Scott Hudson was recently interviewed by the team at Inside the Ropes. Topics during the interview range from the special feeling during the last episode of Monday NITRO to his favorite matches to call to his brief stint with WWE and more. One of the comments that Hudson made which missed being covered by the wrestling media was that if he ever decided to come back to professional wrestling, then he would prefer to work for the team at iMPACT Wrestling over WWE. Here is Hudson’s quote from the interview:
“I’m not in the business, but I’ll put it this way. If I ever go back to doing anything in wrestling in any degree – you can forget me doing a weekly show or anything like that – but if I were to do anything with any group, it’ll be TNA – the end.”
Hudson goes on a little bit later in the interview to give a very reasoned, professional, and business-centric response as to why he would only work for TNA if he ever came back to professional wrestling. You can listen to the full interview below (this portion of the interview is towards the middle/end). However, his reasoning for potentially choosing TNA over WWE has to do with Vince McMahon’s leadership style and what he expects of his contracted talent. Again, you can listen to Hudson’s own words in the video below.
