After having some fun with the ever-gullible internet crowd, former multi-time World Heavyweight Champion and current provider of color commentary Taz announced on Twitter that he has re-signed with iMPACT Wrestling.
A week or so ago, Taz teased that he was getting excited for an upcoming wrestling show in Brooklyn.
Some gullible marks took this to mean that he was going to leave TNA when his contract expired and be present at WWE’s upcoming show in the Barclay’s Center.
However, earlier today the Aces and 8s member announced via Twitter that he is staying with TNA and that he loves his home. Here is the exact tweet from Taz’s account:
For me, Taz has done the impossible and made Mike Tenay someone who isn’t irritating to listen to on the microphone. This is something that Don West could simply not accomplish. This act of magic combined with Taz’s incredible insights as a former World Heavyweight Champion make him one of my favorite announcers in professional wrestling. I’m glad that he’s sticking around!
