Former TNA Impact Wrestling star RVD talks about his new WWE contract. RVD has been on a bit of a bash TNA run as of late. In this interview he basically tells the truth, WWE offered him a light schedule:
A website for fans of professional wrestling
Joe Vincent says
Just so we’re all clear here, when RVD suggests he made the whole wrestling world pop – he must still be coming down from his last high. The wrestling world didn’t pop. This move was expected months ago and the way he denigrated iMPACT Wrestling on the way out speaks volumes about his professionalism… or lack thereof.
Dylan Standlea says
It’s sad because I really do enjoy RVD matches. I was also (and remain) a huge Mick Foley fan. Foley at least realized his mistake in the way he handled himself and apologized.
I remember back when they made RVD the champ a couple years back, he got some heat on Twitter for talking about how important it is for the TNA champ to be a guy “fans actually know” like RVD or Hardy. In hindsight his rhetoric is not that surprising.
William B. West says
I don’t understand why he felt the need to bash TNA, obviously he didn’t mind cashing the checks. It seems WWE just offered him a light schedule, why not just say that from the beginning instead of being such a crybaby.
He mentioned Jericho, and he feels he will get the same push Jericho did, WWE tested Jericho by having him put over Fandango at WrestleMania, Jericho did and never publicly cried about it, I doubt RVD would do the same.
Studlee Hungwell says
I use to like RVD as a person, He stood up for things he felt was right. But now it’s all about money and his ego is sky “high”. Don’t get me wrong im not bashing the Whole Damn Show, I just noticed that his attitude has changed Alot and he is not the RVD from his glory days in ECW anymore. I bet he only last a year in WWE and he will be back doing indy shows and autograph signings again.
