On tonight’s episode of iMPACT Wrestling on Spike TV, “The Icon” Sting revealed the first member of his reformed Main Event Mafia. During the last few minutes of the episode the TNA Hall of Famer came out to the ring to confront the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray. Sting was wearing his signature black suit and black sunglasses with no face paint during the confrontation as the President of Aces and 8s threatened to have the rest of the gang come out to stomp him into the ground.
After the camera cut to the backstage area and the Aces and 8s were shown on the ground writhing in pain, Ray turned around in the ring directly into a punch in the face from Sting. Ray jumped out of the ring and backed into the first member of the new Main Event Mafia – “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle!
The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion took down the current champion with the ankle lock to end the show.
More news and views on the new Main Event Mafia as details are released! In the meantime, feel free to read my thoughts on who should be in the Main Event Mafia (here’s a hint – with Angle in the group I’m 1 for 1 so far!).
