The interwebs have been swirling with unconfirmed rumors that iMPACT Wrestling lead announcer Todd Keneley has been removed from the announce team. Keneley himself has seemed to confirm this rumor by noting on Twitter that he appreciated all of the support coming in via the social network and that it made him feel good. He also thanked iMPACT Wrestling for the opportunity to announce. Here are the actual tweets from Keneley:
@IMPACTWRESTLING Thank you for a great experience and exposure. It was an honor calling many great matches. Hope the door opens to return.

Thank you so much for all of the support and compliments on my work. Can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Really making my day!

Personally, I never caught on to having a third man at the announcer’s table. Todd seemed like a nice enough guy, but I don’t think he added much to the show. If anything, I found a third man at the table to be a little distracting during the show. My only hope is that TNA doesn’t over compensate by having Mike Tenay and Taz constantly at war with one another. That would be even worse than having three men at the table.

T.K. really grew on me actually, I think he did a great job.
Maybe if they ever do a second weekly show they can pull him back in.

I suppose I could handle him on a second show, but I just don’t like the feel of a three man booth and in a two man booth, Tenay manages to actually beat out Keneley in my book. I just didn’t feel much from Keneley.
I don’t know – I just want Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler to call every wrestling match!

Tenay’s a lot better, for sure, but he’s kinda had a big head start, you know?
J.R. and Lawler were great. I would go back further–I miss Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan.
