Sting recently spoke with TheFarmRadio.com about a possible match with the Undertaker and more. Here are the highlights:
On Possible TNA Hall of Fame Candidates: “Jeff Jarrett, I mean A.J. Styles is another one. They would probably the top two in my book. Honestly, I don’t know. Last year, I had no idea. As a matter of fact, I believed with everything in me that it wasn’t going to be me. It never even occurred to me that it could be me because I was still an active wrestler and still involved and I just never imagined. The guys that came before me right here at TNA, I thought deserved it more than I did, so for me to be put in there was kind of a weird deal. And I’m good with it now, believe me. It was a great night and I was honored and I still am. So I have no idea who it could be. I was so surprised last year, I have a feeling I will be surprised again this year.”
On How Much Longer He Will Wrestle: “I learned not to say one more year… I don’t know how much longer it’s going to be. It might be one of those things where it’s sudden, sudden meaning ‘you know, I think it’s time.’ Maybe one more match after those words come out of my mouth or something like that and it will be done.”
On Possibly Wrestling The Undertaker: “It would be awesome to have had at least one match with him. Again, never say never. I’m happy right where I am at the moment and we’ll just see what unfolds here.”
Dylan Standlea says
I think Jim Ross once said something to the effect of this match (Taker vs. Sting) being more meaningful fifteen years ago … I tend to agree, but I’m sure it would be an enjoyable Wrestlemania spectacle if it ever happened.
I think Jeff Jarrett should definitely be inducted this year … or if they are inducting non-wrestlers, then Mike Tenay actually seems like a great choice.
I imagine it would be very jarring, considering current storylines, if A. J. Styles was inducted.
