Hey everyone – what did you think about tonight’s TNA Genesis 2013 pay-per-view?
We’re interested in hearing your thoughts about this pay-per-view. Did you go to the show live? If so, how was the atmosphere among the live crowd in the iMPACT Wrestling Zone? What about pay-per-view show itself – did you order the show on pay-per-view? If so, what was the production like? Was it worth the money that you paid for it?
How did you feel about Jeff Hardy retaining the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against former champions Bobby Roode and Austin Aries? From my perspective, this is an excellent business move because Hardy sells merchandise and selling merchandise provides the additional revenue necessary to increase a brand’s awareness (think Hulk Hogan in the 1980’s). What about the team of Hernandez & Chavo Guerrero retaining the TNA World Tag Team Championships for the second pay-per-view in a row against Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan? I don’t know how much longer they’re going to keep these two teams tangled up with one another, but now seems like a good time to really bring in some great tag teams to reignite that division. I have to say the main event was kick ass. The story they told was expertly done. Hardy really did look like an underdog who won against all odds.
All three stars should be commended for that performance–best triple threat I’ve seen in a long time. The shot of Aries and Roode sitting on the ground outside the ring, staring at each other and licking their wounds while Hardy celebrated was priceless.
While Jeff Hardy, in my opinion, is very lacking on the microphone, at least as a face, he is one of the best wrestlers in the world inside those ropes.
I’m interested to see where they are going with Matt Morgan. If he is to be seen as the threat he claims to be, he can’t be losing to the tag champs every month. Maybe he’s losing Ryan? If this is the case, I think Matt Morgan needs to be put in the title picture. He deserves it, and I don’t see how he’s going to be a problem for Hulk until he has some gold around his waist.
I also don’t know what’s going on with Bad Influence. A tag-team, where one half of the team is getting a world title shot and the other half is his manager? I love these guys, I think they’re the most entertaining act to watch in TNA right now, but I’m not sure how it’s going to play out.
