Jarrett’s Thoughts: I think that this match will determine if TNA even cares about their World Title. For the past three months, the World Title has played second fiddle to almost everything in TNA. Sting’s return, the Bully Ray dilemma, they’ve all seemed to be more important than the World Championship. It doesn’t help that the World Champion doesn’t think being World Champion is a big deal when he said on Impact that being voted superstar of the year meant just as much. It’s one thing to be popular, it’s another thing to be the best the company has to offer. I think that if Jeff Hardy retains at Genesis, then TNA has officially lost their minds. I’m rooting for Roode or Aries because either of the two will make the world title more important, and Roode could always feud with a certain Cowboy as champion.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Bobby Roode wins the World Title
Joe’s Thoughts: I still think that iMPACT Wrestling is look at Jeff Hardy as a proven earner in terms of merchandise and product sales. Having him remain on top of the mountain means that he gets more exposure, more exposure equals more sales, and more sales equals a stronger bottom line.
Joe’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy
Scott’s Thoughts: This is is going be a fantastic match-up. I see Roode pulling out all the tricks in the book and Aries using a lot of submission maneuvers. For the time being though, I see them keeping the strap on Hardy.
Scott’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Austin Aries
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Why is this feud happening? Why are Morgan and Ryan teaming together. Why is Morgan still wearing Hogan’s cape? Why does Guerrero have to mention Eddie almost every time he has a microphone near him? Why can’t Hernandez get out of the Mexican tag team curse? Will any of these questions ever be answered? Probably not. Here’s one that should be answered though, why are Morgan and Ryan getting two shots when Bad Influence only got one?
Jarrett’s Prediction: Ryan and Morgan win to extend this awful feud
Joe’s Thoughts: Maybe I’m “missing” the whole thing here, but when Joey Ryan says it’s Matt Morgan and the Big Organ, I mean I get he’s talking about his junk, but is that entertaining? I like Ryan in the ring because I think he’s a moderately good performer, but I don’t find his character entertaining in anyway at all.
Joe’s Prediction: Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: Morgan/Ryan
Scott’s Thoughts: A physical bout with lots of power moves by the two big men, Hernandez and Morgan. I see Joey Ryan sneaking a victory for his team.
Scott’s Prediction: Morgan and Ryan
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan
Jarrett’s Thoughts: I’m glad someone from Gut Check is being used on a regular basis. York has a great look and some great skills in the ring, the only problem is that King has some great moves and has a great character. I have no doubt that King will win this match with some trickery and challenge RVD later in the night
Jarrett’s Prediction: Kenny King wins and advances to face RVD.
Joe’s Thoughts: Christian York is on fire right now – more so than Kenny King was a few months ago. I think having Christian York win this one is the safe route for iMPACT Wrestling and it’s the one I believe in right now.
Joe’s Prediction: Christian York
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: Christian York
Scott’s Thoughts: King is the paramount heel of the X Division at the moment but I sense York giving him a real test.

Knockout #1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match
Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Miss Tessmacher vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This is a match that was thrown together on Impact and has had zero build. Mickie James had a great match with Tara at Final Resolution and Tessmacher and Kim faces off a few weeks ago. Sky and ODB are thrown in here with no wrestling since at least the Impact before Final Resolution. I’m not a big fan of gauntlets when superstars or knockouts in there with no reason. I’m sure it’ll be a great match with two wets like James and Kim. I would pick Sky, but I’m not a fan and I don’t see why she hasn’t been featured at all, not even any clips from her one match back if she’s winning this. So I’m picking the face that has been on TV lately.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Tessmacher wins
Joe’s Thoughts: Oh boy… any one of these women could win and pose a real threat to Tara. However, I think this comes down to three women: Miss Tessmacher, Velvet Sky, and Gail Kim. Of those three, I have to believe that Velvet Sky is going to get the rub and the chance to compete for the championship (although I am admittedly intrigued at the potential Robbie T./Tessmacher connection).
Joe’s Prediction: Velvet Sky
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: Tessmacher
Scott’s Thoughts: This should be the best KO fight in a long time. I fancy Gail Kim picking up the win but I get the feeling Mickie is due another run.
Scott’s Prediction: Mickie James

William’s Prediction: Velvet Sky
D.O.C. vs. Sting
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This should have been Sting’s return match, but instead they gave it away for free on Impact. I constantly complain on twitter and on my Impact Reports that Sting wrestling period should be a huge deal. Sting is a legend, he’s the first TNA Hall of Famer and he probably won’t be around in a wrestling capacity for too much longer. I like the feud they’ve done with Sting wanting his revenge on DOC, and it’s pretty clear who will win.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Sting wins.
Joe’s Thoughts: I can’t, in good conscience, suggest that the first member of the TNA Hall of Fame is going to lose to D.O.C. So, Sting gets the nod from me.
Joe’s Prediction: Sting
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: D.O.C.
Scott’s Thoughts: I cannot see DOC going over Sting here even with inevitable interference. I do see a debut for a fresh member of Aces & 8s though.
Scott’s Prediction: Sting

Joseph Park vs. Devon
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Joseph Park is a great act, I never knew this guy could put on a suit and play such a great character. He’s played the perfect rookie and has been highly entertaining. Hopefully he won’t go all Abyss in this match, but it’s the only match that Aces and Eights will win.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Devon wins.
Joe’s Thoughts: I wouldn’t want to be the writer who gets tasked with making sense of the Abyss/Joseph Park situation. They’ve been hinting at Park being Abyss in the past, but then they had someone show up in an Abyss outfit to throw people off. Very bizarre. In any event, I still think that you have to go with the certified professional wrestler in this match instead of the lawyer-type.
Joe’s Prediction: Devon
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: Devon
Scott’s Thoughts: Park will go into full Abyss style rage in this but I see a screwy finish costing him.
Scott’s Prediction: Devon

Christopher Daniels vs. James Storm
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Storm has been in storyline limbo for the past few months. It’s almost like their waiting for Roode to get the title so they can feud over it. With that said, Bad Influence is (in my opinion) the best act in pro wrestling today, they are so entertaining, and hopefully the talented veteran Christopher Daniels can use this match to springboard himself into the main event and prove he belongs there.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Storm wins.
Joe’s Thoughts: Christopher Daniels and Kazarian are entertaining on iMPACT Wrestling each week and on the Post Show online. However, I don’t know if that type of entertainment value translates into a higher competitive ranking on the roster, so I have to go with “The Tennessee Cowboy” on this one.
Joe’s Prediction: James Storm
Mark A.’s Thoughts:
Mark A.’s Prediction: James Storm
Scott’s Thoughts: Daniels is one of the best things in TNA right now and Storm is yet to recapture his red hot form of last year/2011. However I feel Storm may be the guy lined up for a run with the TNA belt later in the year so he will pick up the win.
Scott’s Prediction: James Storm
