During tonight’s Genesis pay-per-view, both the TNA X-Division Championship and the TNA World Tag Team Championships have been put on the line. Genesis opened with the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line as Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero defended against Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan for the second pay-per-view in a row. After some back and forth action, Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero retained their championships against Morgan and “The Big Organ.”
A few matches later, Christian York defeated Kenny King in the finals of the TNA X-Division Championship Tournament to earn the right to face off against Rob Van Dam for the title! After York won the finals of the tournament he was attacked by King right before RVD came out. RVD offered York a chance to postpone the match, but the #1 Contender wanted to fight right then and right there. Unfortunately for York, RVD quickly defeated him to retain the TNA X-Division Championship.
