Opening Segment
Impact Wrestling starts this week a still shot recap of Turning Point featuring the main matches from this Sunday’s Turning Point Pay-Per-View with a narrator going over everything.
Not quite live from the Impact Zone this week, Todd Keneley is on commentary with Taz and Mike Tenay (just like the Turning Point Pay-Per-View)
James Storm makes his way to the ring as Tenay talks about how happy Storm is that he finally got a world title shot. Storm says that it was hard, but he did it and he didn’t win an award, but he wanted to thank a few people: the fans that have always been there for him, his family who have stood behind him, and the people that said he couldn’t do it. Storm reiterates that he wants to thanks the people who said he couldn’t do it because they were the reason why he did it and now Storm is the number one contender for the world heavyweight championship. And with that, The It Factor of Professional Wrestling Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring with two of James Storm’s beer bottles in hand. Taz says it doesn’t shock him that Roode is out here to spoil the party and Tenay questions if he’s here to celebrate. Roode says that he isn’t around here to spoil the party, he wants to join and he’s got a few people he wants to toast. The first one is James Storm for beating AJ Styles and not him, and proving that he’s still riding off Roode’s coattails and to all his fans when they have to watch Storm fail again to become the world champion, and his family, especially his little daughter Makayla, who have to pick up the pieces after Storm takes his ball and go home again. Storm knocks Roode in the head when he’s drinking a beer, the two brawl and Roode retreats up the ramp. Storm wants to fight, but Roode refuses and says there’s nothing in it for him unless he puts up his number one contender ship. Storm says no, but Roode tells him to tell his daughter Makayla to call him when she’s 18 so he can show her what a real man is. Storm gets pissed off and says he accepts.
Hulk Hogan says that he feels bad about AJ Styles having to wait. Maybe you shouldn’t have put him in the match dumbass. Hogan talks about Styles having to tread in the water like he was a few years ago and says that he is his own worst enemy.
((Jarrett’s Jab – Bringing family into a storyline is just wrong and cheap and I cringed listening to Roode tell Storm to tell his daughter to give him a call when she’s 18. Over the past few years, family has been brought in for cheap heat, whether it’s been Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, or Bobby Roode, it just makes me sick that they can’t go out there and get it done without that crutch. Although it’s surprisingly not the most tasteless thing I’ve seen all week. And Hogan feels bad for Styles; you shouldn’t have made the match then. Hogan has been a horrible GM since he’s been put in the spot because he’s been completely biased toward the heels and they haven’t really done anything to him. At least Sting tried to play fair when he had the spot. ))

A replay of DOC attacking Sting with the ballpeen hammer from last week is shown.
The Vice President asks Doc if he thought he did enough to make good after having his identity exposed. Doc seems to think he did, but the VP makes him hand over his jacket anyway. Devon tells the VP they have business to take care of tonight, and tosses another dart at the wall covered with pictures of the TNA roster. Devon laughs and says that he deserves it.
X Division Championship: Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Kid Kash
Kash jumps RVD at the bell by stomping on the back of RBD as Tenay notes that Kash is a former X Division Champion and former ECW Television Champion and teamed with RVD for a short time. RVD rebounds off the ropes and gets a right hand to the face. Standing Switch by Kash and a hurricanrana sends RVD to the outside. Kash comes off the ropes on RVD and yells at an audience member that “he sucks.” Kash rolls RVD in and gets a one count. Kenenley talks about Kash being an MMA fighter and bringing some MMA moves in wrestling. RVD comes at Kash and Kash comes off the second rope with a clothesline. Kash goes for the moonsault and RVD moves out of the way and eats the thrust kick off the top rope and Rolling Thunder for two. RVD goes for the kick and Kash counters into a sleeper. RVD pushes him off and Kash eats the turnbuckle. Monkey flip by RVD and RVD nails the Five Star Frog Splash for the three count.
Winner by Pinfall and STILL X Division Champion: Rob Van Dam
Eric Young is shown backstage talking fishing stuff with ODB. He calls them a power couple and whispers a plan in her ear that she likes, and then they kiss.
((Jarrett’s Jab – Much like the Television Championship a month ago, TNA is doing a great job with making the X Division Championship mean something. I still think that Jeff Hardy would thrive in this environment and would be a better fit for him than being World Champion. Especially considering that the X Division Champion gets to trade in the belt for a World Title Shot at Destination X. They need to make sure whoever the champion is at that time looks like a threat. And for Eric Young and ODB, I’m glad when he disappears to get beer and fried chicken again.))
-Commercial Break-
Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco are backstage with Kurt Angle, each pitching to be Kurt’s tag partner tonight. Garrett says that Devon was his tag partner and he left him high and dry, Wes says that Kurt has been training with him since high school and wants the chance to prove himself.
Eric Young and ODB come out with the Knockout Tag Team Titles. They exist why exactly? Eric does his old comedy stick that isn’t funny with tying up with the referee a few times as Keneley talks about “how great it was to see EY back in action at Turning Point.” Jesse goes to work with stomping EY and hitting a powerslam before posing and dropping a leg drop for two. Elbow to the back of the head or EY and Jesse uses the ropes and the beard to choke EY before clocking him with a right. Clothesline in the corner by the former Big Brother star and uses the ropes to choke EY again. Nice dropkick by Jesse and he kisses Tara before hitting right hands to the chest in the corner. Arm wringer and an Irish Whip the corner sends EY to the outside. EY has a short burst of offense before locking in an abdominal stretch and laying some elbows in as Taz talks about how much of a difference that makes. Jesse tries some right hands but EY no-sells and strips down to the speedo. Flying forearm by EY and Tara tries to sneak in the ring but ODB spears her and sends her to the outside. Jesse tries a clothesline, but eats a powerslam. EY is distracted by the knockout brawl outside and gets knocked to the outside and chin first on the guardrail by Jesse. Tara throws him back in the ring and Jesse poses before hitting a stunner for the win.

Tenay hypes hearing from AJ Styles for the first time since Turning Point and we see the Knockouts getting ready and Mickie James return! But first, the Television Championship is on the line in a rematch from Turning Point. Samoa Joe defends against Magnus…next!
((Jarrett’s Jab – Not a fan of EY as a comedic character. Comedy has a place in wrestling when it’s actually funny, but EY’s tired stich isn’t funny even after not seeing it for months. Jesse going over is the right move because he’ll actually be on TV weekly.))
-Commercial Break-
Joseph Park is backstage asking for one more shot at Aces and Eights and Hogan yells no. Hogan talks about how Park is screaming just trying to get up and him wrestling is like Hogan going to court and defending someone in a murder case and talking like he knows what he’s doing. Park says that he understands what he means and he said that he’ll start training.
Magnus makes his way to the ring and Devon clips the right knee of Devon with a metal baseball bat. Members of Aces and Eights hold Magnus as DOC hits both the left and right knee with the ballpeen hammer. Devon is about to hit Magnus in the head with the baseball bat but Bully Ray runs toward them with a steel chain in hand and Aces and Eights bail. Doctors and Al Snow come to ringside to check on Magnus and Taz lowly states that Magnus is hurt and his knee is blown out at least and asks what Magnus did to Aces and Eights.
-Commercial Break-
A recap of Magnus being put on the stretcher is shown and a recap of the World Title ladder match from Turing Point is shown.
Austin Aries is in the parking lot and is asked how he’s feeling. Aries says that’s a stupid question and is asked if he’s done with Hardy and he says no and walks in the trailer. Hardy is getting a massage. Aries says that Hardy raised his game once again to that A Double level and he beat him, but he beat him in his specialty match with the home court advantage. Aries says that he’s not going to bitch about it, but it’s not over and he needs the massage more than Aries does before walking out. We somehow switch into an alternate dimension where we can hear Hardy’s thoughts. I zoned out there. I was thinking about Christopher Daniels dancing Gangnam Style from Turing Point Sunday night.
Kurt Angle and Garett Bischoff come out to the ring, and Angle says that he doesn’t need a dart to figure out who he wants to fight, and if Aces & Eights want to do to him what they did to Sting, they should come out to face him and his tag team partner because nobody threatens Kurt Angle.
-Commercial Break-
Kurt Angle and Garett Bischoff vs. Devon and Big Masked Man
Angle goes straight for Devon with right hands, elbows and suplexes. Devon is able to tag in the masked member of Aces and Eights that is huge. Angle is able to stomp at the leg and tags in Garett. Garett wrings the arm of the masked member of Aces and Eights as Tenay raves about how great of a choice Garett is. Garett doesn’t stay in long and brings the masked man back to Angle’s corner and tag him in. Devon hits a right hand to the back of the neck and tags in before hitting a delayed vertical suplex and nailing some right hands in the corner. The masked member is tagged in and dominates Angle before Angle can fight back with German suplexes and clotheslined Devon out of the ring. Another member of Aces and Eights knocks Garett off the apron and Kurt is distracted by DOC. That masked member of Aces and Eights gets Angle in a full nelson and DOC just about hits Angle with the Ballpeen hammer. Wes Brisco runs out with a steel pipe to run DOC off. Angle kicks the big masked man downtown and rolls him up for the win.

Tara and Jesse Godderz come into Brooke Hogan’s office and catch her sitting on the couch with Bully Ray, who has his arm around her. Bubba gets up and walks out without a word, and then Tara asks what the deal is with this battle royal tonight and why she wasn’t told. Brooke tells her to deal with it and to knock next time before barging into her office. Tara says maybe she should try locking the door.
((Jarrett’s Jab – Angle’s pissed, you think with that, it’d be a fight instead of a wrestling match. And Bully Ray is like TNA’s Daniel Bryan, no matter what ridiculous storyline he’s stuck in, he finds a way to make it work. He made that segment all on his own with his facial expressions))
-Commercial Break-
Dixie Carter talks about AJ Styles and says that if anyone understands what AJ Styles goes through, it’s her because she’s had to go through it with him, and she says she doesn’t know what’s going on with AJ, but she said she told Hulk that she doesn’t know what to do
Knockouts Championship Number One Contender Over the Top Rope Battle Royal: Gail Kim vs. Madison Rayne vs. Mickie James vs. Miss Tessmacher vs. ODB
Mike Tenay notes that all of the participants are former Knockouts Champions and that Mickie had to get surgery and everyone is thankful that it was a success.
-Commercial Break-
Miss Tessmacher and ODB make their entrances as we come back from the break. Tessmacher and ODB try to eliminate Gail Kim as Mickie James goes after Madison Rayne. Taryn Terrell is outside the ring along with a male referee. Madison tries to send Mickie James over the top rope, but James kicks her way out. Kim sends Tessmacher out to the apron. ODB tries to send Kim out, and former Knockouts Tag Champions Kim and Rayne work together on ODB. Tessmacher is back in the ring and goes for the ten punches on Kim, but Rayne sends her over the top rope. James and ODB both hit Lou Thez presses on Kim and Rayne. Face first goes Rayne and James kip-up as ODB hits the Fallaway slam on Kim. James sends Rayne into ODBs crotch on the top rope and then Kim suffers the same fate. Madison is almost eliminated by James and ODB spits in her face, making her slip off the apron and eliminating her. OBD comes off the top rope, and Kim moves and OBD splats right into Mickie James. ODB asks what she’s doing and Kim sends ODB over the top rope. Kim and James are left and James slowly fights her way out of the corner and is almost sent out with a hurricanrana. Kim saves herself but gets a right hand that sends her out to the floor.
Winner and NEW Number One Contender: Mickie James
James Storm is backstage and is asked about putting his spot as number one contender on the line and Storm talks about how hard he’s worked, the past year to get back in that spot. AJ Styles walks up to him and stares a hole in him before walking off. Storm says “I’m Done” and we cut to commercial. AJ Styles breaks his silence…next!
-Commercial Break-
In the Clubhouse, DOC is informed to not let the door hit him on the ass on the way out. Aces and Eights stare a hole through DOC as he slowly makes his way out, not looking way from any of the Aces and Eights member. He opens the door to see an Aces and Eights jacket. All the members celebrate with him.
A recap of the Turning Point match between AJ Styles, Bobby Roode and James Storm.
AJ Styles comes out and says that at Turning Point, the stakes have never been higher and he that the man that was pinned won’t get a shot until Bound for Glory 2013. He says that it was him and it’s just to cap off a bad year, he was accused of banging Dixie Carter and talks about some of the other things and says that thing that hurts the most is that people didn’t believe him and if he would have gotten to that world title match, he would have become the world champion. AJ Styles says that that the holidays are coming up and he’s not finding himself thankful for anything and with that, my favorite tag team, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian come to the ring without their usual dancing. Taz defends the former #WTTCOTW by saying they could be out here to console their former friend. Kazarian says that AJ Styles is crying about a hound dog. Daniels says that everything AJ says is true and the only person to blame is standing in the mirror. Daniels reminds AJ of something he’s told him for the whole year “that you’re a complete and utter failure.” AJ reminds Daniels about beating Daniels time and time again and says he can’t believe he’s saying this, but he wants Daniels one last time. Kazarian says that Daniels has nothing to gain, AJ is a failure and Kaz and Daniels are on top of their game, and are the real World Tag Team Champions of the World, so Daniels has nothing to gain. Daniels cuts him off and says he disagrees; this is a perfect tie to see Styles vs. Daniels one last time. AJ tells him it’s on, and the two stare off.
Split screen is shown of James Storm and Bobby Roode and they face off, and the winner faces Jeff Hardy at Final Resolution…NEXT!
-Commercial Break-
Aries is backstage and said when he was in college and he majored in psychology, his favorite class was non-verbal communication and he says he’s learned what buttons to push and next week at Open Fight Night, you’re not going to want to miss it.
All the former Gut Check winners: Sam Shaw, Taeler Hendrix, Christian York and Alex Silva will be in the building for Open Fight Night. Kurt Angle tracks down Bruce Prichard in front of Al Snow and D-Lo Brown and asks him if he can get Wes Brisco the shot for Gut Check next week, Prichard says there a process and Angle and D-Lo vouches for him as being a blue chipper. Angle says that Taz really like Wes and Prichard stammers a bit and Angle takes it for a yes and walks off.
Number One Contenders Match: James Storm vs. Bobby Roode
When Storm is introduced he nails Roode in the face and hits the back body drop. Storm goes for the ten punches it the corner and Roode powers out but gets sent to the matt anyway. Roode rips the turnbuckle padding off as Storm is sent to the outside. Clubby blow to the neck and Roode tries to send Storm into the exposed turnbuckle and reverses an attempt to get sent into it himself with a flying arm bar. Roode goes to the outside and nails Storm’s left arm into the ring post as we head to commercial.
-Commercial Break-
Back from the break Roode gets a two count and he follows up by slamming that left arm onto the canvas and over the top rope. Roode goes back in the ring and stomps on the left arm and cinches in a variation of the key lock. Storm fights out and connects with the atomic drop and a neck breaker. Enziguiri by Storm and Storm starts to climb up the ropes. Roode cuts him off and nails a few rights before meeting him there. Roode shoves him off and Roode hits a right hand and goes for a superplex. Storm head-butts his way out and hits the power bomb for two. Storm goes for the Eye of the Storm, but the arm gives out and Roode connects with the Double R Spine buster for two. Roode goes for the crossface and Taz notes how Roode has set up for it the entire match. Storm manages to get his left boot on the bottom rope to break the hold. Roode hits the Backstabber and then the Closing Time (Codebreaker) and fires the crowd up for the Last Call. Roode moves out of the way and Storm almost kicks the referee. Storm shoves the referee out of the way and Roode sends him head first into the turnbuckle and then rolls him up with the tights to get the three count.

Taz talks about how hard he’s worked for this to only see it go up in smoke and Roode celebrates as we head to credits
((Jarrett’s Jab – Well, at least TNA righted one wrong from Turning Point. Storm should have never won the match, especially with Hardy winning the main event. Hardy has already had one feud that caused his face challenger to turn heel, Storm is the biggest home-grown face they have, and they need to keep it that way.))
