TNA Xplosion Results (8/8): Bound for Glory Series – Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe

Bound for Glory Series – Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe.

This is Daniels’ fourth-consecutive Xplosion match.

Tie up, and Joe back Daniels into the corner straight away, but Daniels manages to reverse it, laying in to Joe with rights. Daniels winds up a big one, but that allows Joe to move and get his own flurry of offence in to Daniels in the corner. Joe whips Daniels to the other corner, then steams in with a back elbow, then an uppercut. He brings Daniels out, whips him off the ropes, but telegraphs the back body drop early. Daniels gets the boot in, then bounces off the ropes, but Daniels feels the force of another Joe back elbow. Daniels staggers into the corner, where Joe follows with another back elbow and a spinning wheel kick on Daniels. Then the boot scrapes to the face. Off the ropes, and a big boot to the face.

A chop and a kick to Daniels, back into the corner with some rights, then fires him off opposite, but Daniels gets some offence going after moving from the incoming Joe punishment. Daniels feeling the effects of those rights in the corner as we head to a break.

Commercial Break.

More kicks from Daniels as we come back. Pulls Joe out to the centre of the ring, bringing Joe down to his knees and clamping on an armbar. Joe gets some momentum behind him and gets some rights into Daniels’ face. Into the ropes, but again Daniels gets the upper hand, and works on the left arm of Samoa Joe giving it a stunner before going for a pin. Only a two.

Back to the arm, this time with a hammerlock over Joe’s head on the mat, then sitting on the shoulder as Joe attempts to get to a stronger position. Joe rolls through into a schoolboy but only for a two.

Daniels boots Joe as he rushes into the corner. Second rope for Daniels, and an atomic drop for Daniels. Joe with a big boot, then a senton, but only a two from the pin.

More chops in the corner for Daniels. Uppercut, but a knee from Daniels too. Eye rake from Daniels, but an overhead release suplex from Joe. Two count as Daniels gets a rope break.

Joe gets Daniels back into the corner, absorbing the crowd’s chants. Big knee from Joe, sets Daniels for the Muscle Buster, but Daniels wriggles out. Coquina Clutch from Joe, but Daniels gets out of it by running Joe into the corner. Big dropkick from Daniels, but Joe still won’t go down. Daniels comes back in and a powerslam from Samoa Joe picks him up the win and 7pts.

Winner: Samoa Joe via Pinfall.
