Jarrett’s Thoughts: This is a hard match to call. I was really hoping up to Destination X that Bobby Roode would hold the TNA World Title until Bound for Glory (giving him the longest world title reign in TNA history, counting the NWA World Title,) but now that A Double is the champion, I don’t really want to see him give it up. TNA’s thrown all of Storm’s momentum he had coming into Lockdown away between “Losing His Smile” (Dated Shawn Michaels reference,) his two month vacation, and now being accused of leading the “Aces and Eights” faction. I also like A Double holding the gold because the main event of Slammiversary (for the moment) doesn’t seem so obvious. I’m going with my heart on this, but I hope I’m wrong.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Bobby Roode wins the World Title
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: Austin Aries
Mark A.’s Thoughts: TNA’s quality has DRASTICALLY improved since Aries became champion. No way do they want to lose this momentum.
Mark A.’s Prediction: Austin Aries.
William’s Thoughts: I look for the Aces and Eights to cost Aries the belt.
William’s Prediction: Bobby Roode
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Both King and Ion were greatly benefited last week by wrestling in the opening match with the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries, and his number one contender Bobby Roode (respectively.) Ion is riding the momentum of him injuring everyone in the division. Ok, he didn’t injure everybody, but at the moment, he’s the only heel in the entire X Division. I’m torn between Ion winning by cheating, and King winning by DQ, but since I don’t think TNA ever officially stopped the “Titles change hands by DQ” rule, I’m going with the former.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Ion retains.
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: Zema Ion
Mark A.’s Thoughts: No love for Zema Ion here, and don’t like the story line with him and Jesse. But, I feel he’s going to drop it to Jesse.
Mark A.’s Prediction: Zema Ion.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Kenny King
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Earl Hebner is now a biased referee for Madison Rayne. Solution? Name another referee for this match. I hate storylines with such an obvious solution. Madison Rayne hasn’t held the TNA World Title since October of 2010 (her third reign) but Tessmacher has essentially became the most popular knockout in the division and in the middle of her first reign. I don’t think Madison will win, but they do need to find Tessmacher a feud and quick.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Tessmacher retains.
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: Madison Rayne
Mark A.’s Thoughts: Been impressed by Tessmacher since she received the title. Be interesting to see how TNA see the KO’s going with her as Champion.
Mark A.’s Prediction: Brooke Tessmacher.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Madison Rayne
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This is the only Bound for Glory Series match where all four men could win. Out of the four, Daniels needs the points the most. I can see Claire Lynch annoying TNA fans world wide by somehow costing AJ the match and keeping the storyline that won’t die on life support.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Daniels wins
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: AJ Styles
Mark A.’s Thoughts: Match of the night by far. A great mix of everything TNA has going for it at the moment.
Mark A.’s Prediction: Samoa Joe.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: AJ Styles
Jarrett’s Thoughts: The obvious choice is James Storm, but I’m hoping TNA surprises the fans. I want Bully Ray to win. It’s not only his specialty match, but the Bound for Glory series would work better if a top heel was in the top four. The thing I loved about the Bound for Glory series last year was that it was anyone’s guess who won. This year, everyone and their mothers know that Storm’s winning. Aries winning the world title threw the fans for a loop, and Bully Ray picking up the points in this match would put more doubt in fans mind that everyone else has a chance.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Bully Ray wins
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: Bully Ray
Mark A.’s Thoughts: INTERESTING. I keep thinking Storm is a dead-cert for the main event at BFG, but this match could go any way!
Mark A.’s Prediction: Bully Ray, solely because he’s still the company’s biggest heel.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Robbie E.
Bound for Glory Series
Falls Count Anywhere
Mr. Anderson vs. Rob Van Dam vs. D’Angelo Dinero vs. Magnus
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Just two years ago, D’Angelo Dinero was in World Title contention and came pretty close to beating AJ Styles for the TNA World Title at LockDown. Time sure flies. Magnus has been pretty silent, but after shooting a small part for the new Batman movie, and the fact that Dinero is pretty good with a microphone, I would think that TNA would give Dinero the points. If for nothing else, to surprise the fans
Jarrett’s Prediction: D’Angelo Dinero wins
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: Mr. Anderson
Mark A.’s Thoughts: Good to see Magnus getting a solid push and The Pope back after a long hiatus. RVD looks bored in TNA, and Anderson is just floating around without direction.
Mark A.’s Prediction: RVD.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: RVD
Kid Kash & Gunner vs. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. & Hernandez
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Chavo just debuted, him losing a match to two men who are glorified jobbers make zero sense
Jarrett’s Prediction: Chavo Guerrero, Jr. & Hernandez win
Joe’s Thoughts:
Joe’s Prediction: Chavo Guerrero, Jr. & Hernandez
Mark A.’s Thoughts: Quite like this throw-together team of Kash and Gunner. surprises Hernandez is still with the company, to be honest,
Mark A.’s Prediction: Kash/Gunner.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Chavo
