Earlier today, Dixie Carter commented on her Twitter page that the attendance for tomorrow night’s Slammiversary X pay-per-view may be record-breaking. Carter noted that it could be record-breaking on two different levels. First, tomorrow night’s show could have the highest attendance ever for an iMPACT Wrestling pay-per-view. Second, Slammiversary X is on track to break the United States attendance record of 6,500 fans which was set a few years ago in Brooklyn, New York. Here is the text of Carter’s tweet:
Slammiversary will be TNA’s biggest PPV attendance ever, and it is close to being the biggest US attended event in our history. Come on DFW
As a big fan of iMPACT Wrestling, I wish Dixie Carter and her team the best tomorrow night. Good luck!

This I can’t understand. Didn’t they hit about 10,000 this past Bound For Glory PPV (or the one before it)?
Joe Vincent says
No. They had somewhere around 10,000 in the United Kingdom for the iMPACT Wrestling tapings. The last Bound for Glory might have had some 4,000 – 5,000 people in attendance. I can’t recall the prior year’s BFG exact attendance, but it was somewhere in the same ballpark.

I see. I already knew about them hitting 10,000 in London. I think I was thinking of Lockdown 2010. I just searched on wiki to see this and found out it was only around 3,000!! Couldn’t believe it was that little.

Tonight’s the night – I’m hoping that they crack above 7,500. If they could hit 9,000 that would be awesome!

I’m happy for the lucky fans in attendance for Slammiversary tonight. A great card and possible appearance by one of my favorite wrestlers (Christian Cage) will make this one of the biggest nights in the history of the Company.
Only fitting that this might break the TNA attendance record at Slammiversary X. After all, isn’t everything suppose to bigger in Texas?
