I love Lockdown. Every year WWE suckers me back into watching Wrestlemania, and the production values are through the roof. It’s quite the spectacle.
But then I watch Lockdown, and the wrestling is just plain more entertaining, and more impressive and exciting. The whole PPV is usually spectacular in terms of its actual in-ring content, and the Lethal Lockdown match is a brilliant revival of WCW’s old War Games match, which WWE for some reason never really took advantage of.
It’s not a popular opinion on the internet, of course, but I strongly feel every year that Lockdown, a cheaper, and far more low budget PPV in a smaller arena, is just plain better than Wrestlemania.
I’m very much looking forward to it.
Joe, are you going to end your streak of not ordering PPVs for this one? 🙂

Good question, Dylan. Actually, the one theater that is showing Lockdown in New Jersey happens to be about 10 minutes from where I live so I’m headed there with one of my buddies. In fact, we’re leaving in about 5 minutes. So… I guess that counts as me buying a pay-per-view as much as going to the same theater to watch Bound for Glory counts, right? 🙂
