TNA Television Champion Robbie E. was recently interviewed on the VOC Wrestling Nation radio show. You can use the widget below to listen to the interview, which begins at approximately the 29:00 minute mark and ends around the 40:00 minute mark.
In the interview, Robbie E. notes that he’s been doing the “Jersey Shore” gimmick for his entire life because that is really what he’s like in real life. He also noted that he doesn’t really think about the fact that he has to perform in front of the same crowd at the iMPACT Wrestling Zone each week. He says that there are always new fans coming into the iMPACT Wrestling Zone and he sees that as an opportunity to bring new fans into the product.
Robbie E. also noted that there is the potential for a cult-like following to develop in the iMPACT Wrestling Zone and he alluded to the ECW Arena as an example of how a small arena size can really work for a promotion.
This is a really good, really fun interview with Robbie E. where one of iMPACT Wrestling’s major players gets to give his take on many of the topics swirling around the promotion. If you have some time, I suggest listening to this interview so you can get a feel for one of iMPACT Wrestling’s brightest rising stars. One of my favorite moments was when Robbie E. clearly stated that there is no negativity and no animosity in the locker room in TNA – and that’s coming straight from a real life source! Enjoy!
