Opening Segment
Impact Wrestling opens to the live fans with New Number One Contender ‘The Cowboy’ James Storm coming out to the ring. Storm says it’s great to be back in the Impact Zone as the Number One Contender and noted that he beat the Best Wrestler in TNA (Kurt Angle) and was just a little better that night. Storm turns his attention to Roode and said he’s going to kick his ass. Storm does his trademark line and Jeff Hardy interrupts him with his entrance. Hardy tells everyone that he got screwed at the Pay-Per-View and last night, and says that “We, the Creatures All Have Gotten Screwed.” Storm quickly shuts him up by remind him that Storm was the one he screwed to win the title in the first place. Storm makes a quick one liner by saying “With all that screwing Roode does, you would think he pays a lot of Child Support.” The TNA Champion Bobby Roode comes out to that awful-sounding instrumental theme again and asks why everyone can’t get along. Tenay gripes on commentary about Roode’s lying as Roode gets in the ring. Roode congratulates Storm on beating Angle to be the number one contender, but points out that he would have faced the winner of himself and Jeff Hardy. “There was no winner, so your contender ship is null and void.” Roode then turns to Hardy and talks about how he loves to help the needy, “but I’ve given you two shots in the span of five days, and you couldn’t get the job done.” Before either of the two could respond, Sting comes out to make his presence felt. Sting congratulates Bobby Roode on finding another loophole by having Bully Ray disqualify him. Sting decides that they will be another number one contender match between Jeff Hardy and James Storm. ((Jarrett’s Jab – James Storm is magic on the mic and then there is Jeff Hardy. I would have much rather Storm did the promo work for both of them. Sting making a number one contender’s match was idiotic. It’ll be a good match, but logic and common sense would dictate a triple threat match between Roode, Hardy and Storm at Against All Odds.))

Angelina Love complains backstage about Eric Young putting his hands on her, and challenges him to a match against him tonight. And she invites him to leave his ‘boyfriend’ ODB in the back.
Gunner (with Ric Flair) vs. AJ Styles
A tie-up starts the match and AJ forces Gunner in a corner and hits him with a right hand. Gunner comes at AJ, but AJ kicks the abdomen and locks in a chin lock. Gunner shoves him off and into the turnbuckle. Gunner comes at him, but AJ is able to backslide him for a two count. AJ leaps over and under Gunner to hit his amazing dropkick. Gunner falls to the outside and kicks the stairs. Ric Flair whispers something in his ear to calm him down. Gunner slides back in the ring and Flair tries to grab the leg of AJ and Gunner drills him with forearm shots, and then follows up with a suplex for two. Gunner puts on a bear hug and then dries his knee on AJ’s neck before going back into the bear hug again. AJ pounds Gunner’s ears to break the hold, but Gunner’s knee runs through AJ’s ribs for a two count. Gunner uses the ropes for a knee drop on AJ and again gets two. AJ starts to fight back, but Gunner silences him with a knee to the back. AJ fights back again with right hands and a springboard forearm as Flair starts to flip his wig outside. Kazarian and Daniels quickly head to the ringside area and AJ is able to hit a enzeguri on Gunner. Flair hops on the apron to distract Hebner and Kazarian runs through AJ with a clothesline. Gunner covers him for three.
Winner by Pinfall: Gunner
Gunner throws AJ to the outside and quickly tears the protective mat up. Kazarian tries to help but Daniels holds him back. AJ shoves off and hops the barricade to escape.
Brutus Magnus is backstage with Samoa Joe and says he’s ready and he’s going to take it to that meathead Crimson. Matt Morgan and Crimson come in and Crimson says they can go right now, but Morgan says to save it and take care of Magnus in the ring. Magnus closes the promo by turning to the Mystery Cameraman and assuring him that he’s got this.
-Commercial Break-
Bully Ray is backstage with Sting and he knows that Sting’s not happy with him, but he hasn’t lost one singles match since he’s become a singles wrestler, so he wants Sting to do him a favah and grant him a title shot. Sting says he’s not going to do him a favah, and to remember that he’s the boss and Bubba’s the employee, and next time he wants to talk to him, to make an appointment. Bubba says he doesn’t make appointments because he’s Bully Ray and does what he wants. Sting shoves Bubba hard on the chest and takes off his sunglasses, and then when Bubba doesn’t do anything, Sting says he thought so and walks off as Bubba stares angrily after him and takes his skull cap off.
Magnus vs. Crimson
Magnus starts the match with right hands and knees to the gut. Magnus hits a clothesline and quickly covers for two. Tenay puts over the undefeated streak as Magnus hits a suplex and covers again for two. Magnus tries another quick cover and again gets two. Sending Crimson into the turnbuckle, and then the middle turnbuckle, Magnus taunts and runs right into a Red Sky by Crimson and gets the win.
Winner by Pinfall: Crimson
Samoa Joe runs in from behind and starts pummeling Crimson with right hands, the referee starts to try and stop it, but he gets sucker punched as well. Magnus recovers and joins in on the pummeling before Matt Morgan makes the save. Joe is able to quickly derail Morgan as well. Magnus hits the MDD and then Joe hits the spin kick in the corner to Morgan and Magnus follows up with the elbow drop.
Eric Young is running around somewhere and sees a giant poster for a Bellator Fighting Championship show and thinks about becoming a pro fighter. He sees one of the catering women come over and he wants to spar with her, but she says she’s just a caterer and not a fighter. Young says it’s okay because he doesn’t fight women, but ODB comes over and says he’s got a match tonight. Young says his mother told him not to hit women, but ODB says if he does a number on Angelina, she’ll do a number on his booty. Eric assumes she meant holding hands and that’s just one step away from marriage. ((Jarrett’s Jab – This much Eric Young is going to make this show drag on.))
-Commercial Break-
A video recapped Garett Bischoff’s promo from last week and showed footage of him training. That leads into a video package recapping the Knockout’s Title match from Genesis and hyping the Knockouts Cage match.
Madison Rayne is pacing and yelling about her Cage match tonight. Gail said she will be there for her tonight and they are a team. Gail has to push her out of the door. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Nice video packages, but I’m not interested or care in the slightest in TNA’s version of David Flair or his obvious choice of a trainer. He’s only getting the push because he’s Bischoff’s son and while the Impact Zone fans love him blindly, he’s going to have to a lot to sway me and the people who believe he’s the second coming of David Flair.))

Steel Cage Match: Mickie James vs. Knockout Tag Champion Madison Rayne (with Knockout Champion Gail Kim)
Hebner tells Kim to leave and Madison freaks out. Mickie grabs Rayne’s hair and slams her to the mat at the bell. Mickie then sends her head first into the turnbuckle and then stomps a mudhole in her, Madison tries to climb, but gets a sit-down power bomb for her efforts. Mickie users her boot to choke Madison in the corner and then comes off the ropes to dropkick her for two. Mickie covers her again and gets another two count. Mickie cinches in a sleeper hold and when Madison gets up, Mickie gets a stiff kick in the mouth. Madison is sent into the turnbuckle again to lead us into commercial.
-Commercial Break-
Back from the break, Madison is still in the corner and Mickie hits multiple right hands before Madison finally rakes the eyes to get away. Mickie hits a facebuster and then goes up top for the Lou Thez Press. Madison knocks her off the middle rope and hits a neckbreaker, sending her head first into the cage. Madison users her knee to drive Mickie into the cage, and follows that by waving to the audience. Madison hits a nice suplex and neck breaker combination for two. Madison locks in a headscissor and does the face stomp as Taz notes he’s never done that before. Madison covers for two, and then locks in a rear chin lock. Madison knees the ribs and sends her into the turnbuckle. Madison charges into her and then uses the hair to drive her into the mat. Madison yells at Mickie and Sends her into the turnbuckle again. Madison hurls herself into her and Mickie hits a neck breaker. Mickie rams Madison’s head into the mat several times before Madison gets to her feet and starts teeing off. Mickie hits a clothesline and Madison rakes her eyes while she’s attempting a flapjack. Madison covers and waves, but Mickie kicks out at two. Madison chokes Mickie before hitting several right hands. Mickie sends Madison into the cage and then does it on the opposite side. Mickie hits her Spike DDT and gets the win.

Backstage, Austin Aries said everyone wants to hear him talk. He said he was talking about what he’s going to talk about in a couple minutes and people still can’t turn the channel. He told them to imagine how great it would be when he actually talked about what he’s going to talk about in a couple minutes…
((Jarrett’s Jab – A great Knockout match and another prime example of what talented women can do in the ring when they are given time. And Austin Aries cutting a promo, I’m on the edge of my seat. This could very well be the highlight of Impact. And I’m being One hundered and ten percent serious.))

Backstage, as Tara and Velvet Sky are all excited as Mickie comes to the back after her match and tell her how hardcore she is. Mickie says she feels amazing, but there’s one more girl she wants to get her hands on and she’s coming for Gail Kim’s Knockouts Title. Madison screwed her over and over, but Gail was really quick to leave Madison hanging and then talks about a knee injury she suffered last time she faced Gail.
Jeff Hardy is backstage saying he’s been screwed twice now, and he’s in desperate need for a payoff, and that payoff’s going to be the World Title. It’s not fair, and it would be better to get Roode in a no DQ match, but right now he has to beat James Storm and earn another shot at the World Title.

A video package airs with Austin Aries puts himself over as not just the best men, but the greatest man and nobody’s going to stop him. He walked in wearing a shiny, turquoise outfit and people don’t take him seriously, but he’s a tough MF and he uses that to throw people off their game. He’s had to be smart his whole life because he’s never been the biggest or strongest, but he may have been the toughest and smartest and he might just have to retire with the X Division Title.
The X Division Champion makes his way out to the ring in a slick button down shirt and grabs a microphone out of So Cal Val’s hand. Aries says that everyone’s going to need to excuse him for sounding like a broken record, but this is the time of month when he comes out after another successful title defense and says again that there’s nobody here in Impact Wrestling who’s in his league. He’s beaten every X Division wrestler put in front of him, and the fans can say he sucks all they want, but if he sucks so bad, how come he’s still holding the X Division Title? That prompts the crowd to start chanting for him, and he says that if they think he wants them chanting his name, they’re sadly mistaken because he doesn’t need a bunch of nobodies telling him that he’s the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived. There’s nobody in the back to take him on, so maybe it’s time to set sail and see if there’s real competition elsewhere because there’s obviously none in Impact Wrestling.
Suddenly, the Motor City Machine Guns music hits and Alex Shelley comes out to go face to face with a man he knows very well and has battled many times. Shelley thanks the fans for their cheers and tells them he missed them, and says that he separated his shoulder a year ago and four months later, he comes back and Chris Sabin tears his ACL and goes on the shelf as well. Shelley’s life has always revolved around wrestling, with some punk rock and video games thrown in. He was going to wait around and come back with Sabin because he knows the fans love the MCMGs, but he wishes TNA PPVs came with a noose because Aries’ matches are so painful to watch. Aries says he wants men to challenge him, and Shelley tells him to shut up because last time he faced Aries, he had to low blow him to beat him. Aries says that’s all very sad and it’s too bad Sabin’s not here because he’s been latching onto his coattails for three years because before they teamed up, Shelley was nobody. Shelley says if he sucks so bad, then he should have no problem putting that title on the line against him. Aries says he needs to earn a title shot just like everyone else around him, so he suggests Shelley go to the back and find an X Division wrestler he’s beaten, which is all of them, and when he beats them, he’ll get a title shot. Shelley says he’ll let Aries pick his opponent, and then when Shelley beats him, he’ll be coming for the title at Against All Odds. ((Jarrett’s Jab – An absolutely phenomenal promo and it’s great to see the X-Division get this much time and focus. Aries is one of the top two promo guys in TNA, and Shelly isn’t shabby himself. Glad to see after my months of complaining, TNA has decided to do something with him instead of letting him sit in the sidelines with his injured tag team partner. I like the idea of Shelly earning his shot at Against All Odds because it gives the audience a chance to see what Shelly can do on his own. ))
ODB is getting boozed up backstage, and is asked what she wants EY to do to Angelina tonight. ODB says she wants her to go tear Angelina’s weave out and all kinds of stuff like that, but Winter runs in and attacks ODB from behind and they brawl until Winter cracks ODB in the ribs with a metal pipe, then takes her belt off and whips ODB with it, then chokes ODB with the belt and tells her that they’re going to take care of her little boyfriend.

Angelina Love vs Eric Young
Eric goes and ties up with the referee, and Angelina keeps telling him to fight her, but he keeps going back to tie up with the referee. The referee finally has enough and says he’s the official and he needs to wrestle Angelina, so Eric goes to the floor and ties up with a fan instead. He finally comes back into the ring and tries to shake her hand, but instead goes back after the referee and gets a go behind into a waistlock, then uses his body to bulldoze Angelina into the corner and counts at him for a break. Angelina finally has enough and kicks Eric in the now not so happy place.
Winner by Disqualification: Eric Young
Angelina and Winter begin pummeling Eric and stomping the crap out of him. ODB runs in and goes after Winter, but Angelina blindsides her and the two of them put the boots to ODB. Winter gets her belt again, but EY grabs the belt out of her hand and dumps the both of them to the floor. Eric is still holding his nuts, but helps ODB back to her feet so she makes out with him. Angelina looks absolutely appalled from the rampway, and even ODB can’t help but smile at Eric before they walk out arm in arm. What a crew.
James Storm is backstage saying he’s all in for tonight because he helped build this company and he’s seen people come and go, but it’s his time to be World Champion and he’s not going to let Hardy stop him. He is asked if he’s been watching Hardy’s matches, and he says of course he has because he needs to do his homework when he wants to be the World Champion. He’s said he’s tired of everyone talking about what they are going to do. The time for talking is done, and it’s time to go do it and prove that he can be the World Champion in this company.

Number One Contenders Match: James Storm vs. Jeff Hardy
James Storm getting cheated out of the title in October was referenced for the second time tonight by the announce team, while Hardy getting cheated twice last week has been mentioned at least five times tonight. Storm gets a modest (no pun intended) ovation and some booing. Hardy got overwhelming fan support by a bunch of girls in the front row. Storm gets a headlock and Hardy rolls him up for two, but Storm is able to shift his weight without breaking the hold. This goes on again before Hardy gets a head scissor which is broken by Storm. Hardy gets his own side headlock applied, but Storm gets a head scissors of his own. Storm and Hardy both hit their own hip tosses and Hardy gets an armbar. Storm gets to his feet and gets a side headlock. Hardy rebounds them off the ropes and Storm runs through him with a clothesline. Storm tries it again, but Hardy elbows him. Storm gets a clothsline and both are down as Tenay leads us into commercial.
-Commercial Break-
Back from Commercial, Hardy is in the corner and Hardy elevates him to the apron and cross bodies him from inside out. Hardy rams Storm head first into the apron and then shoves him in the ring and gets a two count. Hardy hits another leg drop and pulls Storm up. Storm hits right hands and a kick to the jaw before getting a slingshot suplex for two. Storm cinches in a headlock as Tenay announces that Mickie James will take on Tara and Velvet Sky for the Number One Contendership next week on Impact Wrestling. Hardy slides out, and nails a Side Russian Legsweep. Hardy hits the legdrop pin combination for two and the Whisper in the Wind for another two. Hardy gets a chinlock in as the fans start to stomp to will Storm into it. Storm elbows his way out of it and hits a clubby blow to the back and then the Eye of the Storm, but Hardy drops down and Storm something that looked like a Spinning Celtic Cross. Storm measures Hardy for the Superkick and Hardy counters with a Stunner. Storm is able to shove Hardy to stop the Swanton. Storm goes up top and tries a superplex, but Hardy pushes him off. Storm hits a sweet enzeguri on Hardy and this time Storm gets the superplex. Roode goes for the cover and Bully Ray hits the referee in the back with the chain. Ray uses the chain on both Storm and Hardy multiple times as Earl Hebner comes out and gets clocked. Ray grabs Storm’s beer and spits it in his face before slamming the chain onto his right leg. The fans start to cheer as Sting comes out with the baseball bat and Ray runs for the hills. Storm is able to use the ropes to get to his feet and eats the TNA Title belt and Hardy suffers the same fate. Roode grabs a microphone and announces “By the power vested in me, as the most dominant World Champion in Impact Wrestling history, I declare this match to be a No Contest. And STILL Your TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Roode!” Roode poses with the belt and straightens his tie as it cuts to black. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Like I said at the beginning of the show, you could see this coming from a mile away. It wasn’t the good match I thought it would be. It was boring until after the commercial break))
