The Christmas holiday seems to have taken a toll on iMPACT Wrestling’s ratings numbers in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The episode of TNA’s iMPACT Wrestling that aired on Christmas evening did not register as one of the top ten most watched programs on Challenge TV for the week ending on December 25th. The most watched program on Challenge TV that week was an episode of Classic Who Wants To with some 172,000 viewers. The tenth most watched program on the channel was the Ultimate Strong Man Masters – 2011 with 114,000 viewers.
Given that it did not register as one of the top ten programs for the week, we can assume that iMPACT Wrestling had less than 114,000 viewers on Christmas evening. The prior week’s episode had approximately 151,000 viewers.
By comparison, the live airing of WWE’s Monday Night RAW on Monday, December 19, 2011 had approximately 154,000 viewers. The live airing of WWE’s Smackdown on Friday, December 23, 2011 had approximately 110,000 viewers.
