Shaquille O’Neal announced during an interview with Abe Kanan yesterday that he’s currently in talks with the WWE to compete in a one-on-one match against The Big Show at this year’s WrestleMania 28.
While nothing has been finalized, several other sources have confirmed that WWE has been in talks with several current and former NBA players during the NBA lockout. Since the NBA season is back on, this strongly decreased the probability of any current player participating. O’Neal, however, is retired. It is worthwhile noting that he’s also a part of the “NBA on TNT” crew, thus a possible feud will definitely get national talk on that show.
The Big Show and Shaq had a confrontation on RAW several months ago when O’Neal was the guest host.
