News is making its way around the interwebs that iMPACT Wrestling had to cancel its upcoming South American tour. This information is slowly spreading around various websites with the following blurb:
“TNA Wrestling regrets to inform our fans who bought tickets to the shows this weekend in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina that the shows have been cancelled. The Event Organizer did not fulfill their contractual obligations to TNA, thus cancelling the shows. Please apply for ticket refunds at the point of purchase. We sincerely regret the inconvenience.”
This blurb has not been independently confirmed, but we do know that the Buenos Aires, Argentina date was definitely canceled by the promotion. What a missed opportunity – Austin Aries defending the X-Division Championship in Buenos Aires… there’s something there, right? Right?! Maybe not.
Anyway, if we learn any more about this story or how the “event organizer did not fulfill their contractual obligations,” we’ll be sure to post that information here as soon as possible.
