A major TNA Impact Wrestling star was injured at last night’s Battle Creek, Michigan house show. AJ Styles posted the following on his Twitter account this morning, “Rolled out of bed to see how the ankle was after last night………. Not good, crap!!!!”. He followed up later in the day when he was asked how bad the ankle is with, “Not sure, hope I’m ready by next sunday”.
Many fan reports around the interweb are indicating that AJ was possibly injured in a spot involving the ring apron in his match with Gunner. As Styles was being tossed outside to the apron he apparently only caught part of his footing on the outer apron and landed awkwardly on the floor. Most accounts say Styles remained on the floor from anywhere between 2 to 4 minutes.
Hopefully it is something that will heal quickly for him and AJ is not out of action for any great period of time. We will keep you posted if we get more information.
