The Buffalo Bills’ experience at WWE’s Night of Champions Pay-Per-View at The First Niagara Center in Buffalo, CM Punk’s main event performance vs. Triple H, & spending time with John Cena after the PPV: “It was awesome. We had a great time. It was a great event, a ton of good matches. We were right behind the announcers (Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler, & Booker T). To see CM Punk go through the table was awesome, and afterwards being able to spend some time with John Cena was awesome. I know he’s loved by some and hated by some, and it’s evident through the cheers & roars through the arena, but deep down, he’s a good dude. He is actually an old football teammate of one of our strength coaches, so that’s how we got the connection.”
Their reaction to breaking their 15-game losing streak vs. New England in their come-from-behind victory against the Patriots this past Sunday afternoon: “It feels good. We’ve been a part of a few of these losses, some close ones that were heart breakers and the others that were blowouts. To beat a team like the Patriots, obviously they’re a good team, and they’re going to win a lot of ball games this year. If we want to stay where we are, we are going to have to win a lot more ball games to keep up with them, the Jets, & the Dolphins, because this division is serious.”
If the feeling of the Bills surprising 3-0 start has had the chance to set in yet for themselves, their teammates, & the rest of the organization: “I don’t think it will until the season’s over. You really don’t have time to sit on it. You have the day after you win the game, but you really don’t want to sit on it and enjoy it too much. You don’t want to slip up and lose the next game, so you want to be focused and stay on the task at hand.”
Much more is contained in Eric Wood & Andy Levitre’s exclusive interview with The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network, including their candid thoughts on the atmosphere at Ralph Wilson Stadium before, during, & after Sunday’s game with the Patriots, how they are mentally & physically preparing for their next challenge this coming weekend: the Cincinnati Bengals, plus a surprise appearance from a one of the biggest New York Jets supporters in the world of professional wrestling & sports-entertainment: Taz. Could a friendly wager be in store between Buffalo’s offensive line & “The Human Suplex Machine” when the Bills square off with the Jets this fall? Stay tuned to The Mayhem for more details!
