Opening Segment
This weeks edition of iMPACT Wrestling opens up with a video package showing that Sting finally gets his Bound for Glory match with Hulk Hogan after defeating Ric Flair. ((Jarrett’s Jab – As has been reported here on iMPACT Wrestling, Ric Flair has sustained an injury during that match, and worsened it when he threw the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game. The staff here at TNAStars wish him a speedy recovery.))
Sting enters the ring with a clipboard and wearing a Hulk Hogan shirt. He talks about how great things are, he beat Ric Flair and he gets his shot against Hogan in Philly. He stated that everyone said it wasn’t going to happen, but it is. He asks for the fans to chant for Hogan and for Hogan to come to the ring. Hogan abliges. Hogan says this is very funny, but “brother, this isn’t going to happen, and he’s not medically cleared.” Sting flops around in the ring and says that he’s got some footage that says otherwise. Video plays of Hogan destroying Sting with a chair. Hogan yells that he runs the show, that it’s not funny, and he didn’t clear any of that footage. Sting said that it wasn’t funny getting that haymaker. Hogan says that the contract won’t hold up, and he’s a business man. Sting wants him right now, but before Hogan can say anything, Eric Bischoff’s music cuts him off. Bischoff is yelling that Hogan is the reason Sting has a job. Sting obviously isn’t listening, and when Bischoff yells at Sting to look at him, he eats a haymaker. Hogan throws a tantrum and Sting mocks him and says “Hulkamania, you still have it, and this match…it’s going to happen.” ((Jarrett’s Jab – Can’t say I’m too happy about this match. As I stated above, Ric Flair suffered an injury, and that should make TNA realize the risk of having these older wrestlers perform matches. Flair is 62 years old and was fresh off of a rotator cuff surgery. Hogan is ))
Karen Jarrett is backstage telling Brooke Tessmacher and Mickie James that they’re facing off tonight in the Queens Qualifier, and tells Brooke that she doesn’t want to see any of that erotic stripping tonight. She then tells Traci to cover up her boobs because she’s not running brothel. Kazarian comes in to lead his wife away and calls Karen a madam who’s only worth fifty cents an hour. Karen flips her lid and calls Jeff on her cell phone as we go to commercial.

iMPACT WRESTLING’s resident stalker, Jeff Hardy shows up backstage as we go to ringside for the Queen’s Qualifier match.
Queens Qualifer Match: Brooke Tessmacher vs. Mickie James
Brooke Tessmacher does her striptease entrance and says to the camera “That’s for you Karen.” Tie-up leads to Mickie getting an wristlock, which is quickly reversed by Tessmacher. After going back and forth with wristlocks, Mickie cinces in a headlock…which gets turned into a wristlock. Tessmacher nails Mickie with a right hand and as she looks on shocked, she gets nailed again. Hurircana pin gets Tessmacher a two count. Tessmacher erotically stinkfaces James, and James gets pissed off by it. Several running clothslines flattens Tessmacher and Mickie nails her DDT for the win.

In the parking lot, Mexican America are in a red pickup truck, about to get tattoos. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Me drinking tea is more interesting than that. I have a bad feeling this isn’t the last we will see of Mexican America tonight.))

Al Snow is talking to Jeff Hardy and says he thanks him for owning up to his mistakes and asking for forgiveness. Al tells Hardy to not make the mistake again, and to start at the top and work his way down if he wants forgiveness. A graphic plays hyping a X Division Championship match that starts…
X Division Championship: Austin Aries vs. Jesse Sorensen
While Aries is entering the ring, a quick snibbit of his No Surrender Match plays showing how Aries won the title. The crowd starts an “Aries Sucks” chant, and Aries shuush’s the crowd. Sorensen gets an early advantage with Aries using the ropes to stop his offense. Aries heads to the outside and does a victory lap with Sorensen’s football. Sorensen forgot what sport he played when he hit Aries with a baseball slide and then a suicide dive. Sorensen goes up top and covers for two. Kid Kash is shown at ringside with the football. Soresen turns Aries inside out with a clothsline for two. Hard Irish Whip by Sorensen causes him to get caught with a forearm. Aries tries axe handle from the top, but gets dropkicked for two. Sorensen tries a double-underhook, but Aries backs him into the corner. Kid Kash finally gets Sorensen’s attention and hands him the football. Kid Kash walks up the ramp and Sorensen throws the football in his back. Kid Kash comes on the apron and yells at him, Aries hits a dropkick to the back and gets the pinfall win.

RVD and Ken Anderson are backstage talking about their tag match with Bully Ray and Jerry Lynn. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Sorensen looked good tonight in the ring, and I really wish they would have promoted that match better. If you want the X Division to shine, hyping a match seconds before it’s going to start isn’t the way to go. I don’t know anything about football, but shouldn’t Sorensen be flagged 5 yards for illegal use of football?))

A video hyping the release of the Destination X 2010 DVD and that is is now on sale at all Major DVD Retailers (which doesn’t include Walmart) and ShopTNA airs.
Anarquia is at a tattoo shop called “Heavenly Inky” Tattoo. He asks for some tequila before he gets a tattoo. Ink Inc jumps them and beats them up; Moore proceeds to give Anarquia a tattoo.
Jeff Hardy is shown walking into Matt Morgan’s trailer. Morgan talks about where a World Champion should be, and where Hardy was at Victory Road. Morgan said that he’d be one hell of a world champion and role model. Morgan said that he’d be a hypocrite however if he didn’t give Hardy one more shot. Morgan stated that he was a painkiller addict and everyone gave him one more chance. Morgan said this chance is his last chance with him.

Rob Van Dam is shown backstage where he is laying unconscious in a pile of debris like chairs and table fragments.
Jeff Hardy with Kurt Angle, who says he doesn’t want him here and nobody else does. Jeff asks Kurt who he is to judge him, and Kurt says he’s an Olympic gold medalist and a 14 time World Champion and tells Jeff to get out of here. Kurt goes to walk off, but Jeff holds him by the arm and says Angle wants him out of here because he’s the biggest threat to Angle. Angle blows him off and walks out to the ring where he invites Bobby Roode to join him. Roode comes down the entryway as we go to commercial. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Who is he to judge? Your going around asking for forgiveness, and you ask someone who he is to judge? That is a major logic flaw, something they better hope to avoid because some of these segments can be more harm than good for Mr. Hardy and TNA.))

The iMPACT WRESTLING Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring. Angle says that before he begins his speech, he would like to invite Robert Roode out here. Roode grabbed a microphone, and we will hear him…right after this commercial break! ((Jarrett’s Jab – I thought he was Bobby Roode? At least that’s what Tenay called him))
Christopher Daniels comes out in his street clothes and says he hates to ruin Kurt Angle’s plans, but he won’t wrestle Bobby Roode tonight, and it’s not because they’re both members of Fortune, it’s because he has nothing left to prove after he beat AJ Styles a few weeks ago. Roode’s a great wrestler, but AJ is a four time World Champion and a Grand Slam Champion. After the way he dominated AJ, there’s no point bothering with Roode. AJ Styles comes out and he doesn’t look happy. AJ asks if this is a joke because Daniels takes jabs at him every time he gets a microphone in his hand. Daniels says not to worry about it, and AJ says he’s over it and Daniels needs to get over it. Daniels says he proved that he’s the better man, but AJ says that if he keeps bringing AJ’s name up, they can have another match. Daniels says they agreed that would be the last time and Daniels has already beaten him, so- well, we never get to hear Daniels finish because AJ slaps the microphone out of his hand. They have words out of earshot for a moment and AJ goes to leave, so Daniels says he didn’t know AJ was a sore loser AND a bitch. AJ snaps enough and goes after Daniels, and security comes running in. They manage to pull them apart, but then AJ leaps over them and goes back after Daniels as we go to commercial.
-Commercial Break-
We are back from the commercial break and Robert/Bobby Roode is in the ring. Angle congratulates Roode on making it past Kazarian, but now he’s got Christopher Daniels, who took advantage of his friend just a few weeks ago. Roode says he’s sacrificed everything for this business, and Angle is the greatest wrestler there ever was, but nothing is going to stop him from winning the World Title at Bound For Glory. The crowd chants “next World Champ” at Roode, but Angle says there may be one man who will stand in his way, his best friend in the business. James Storm comes out and gets in the ring to a mixed reaction. Roode and Storm go face to face and Storm says he knows Roode is thinking Immortal bought him out, but Roode knows he makes his own damn rules and he’s not here to get into it with Roode, he’s here to get into it with Angle. Storm says he hopes Angle is a better matchmaker than he is a beer drinker, and he says Angle should make himself against James Storm tonight. Angle asks Storm if he thinks he’s going to show Angle up, and Storm says he’s going to earn Angle’s respect tonight because he helped build this company and it’s time to get his recognition. He tells Angle to get his gear on and says he’s sorry about Angle’s damn luck.

Bully Ray and Jerry Lynn vs. Ken Anderson
Rob Van Dam has not been cleared to compete in this match, so it is a handicap match. Ray tags in Lynn to start this match. Anderson starts with right hands, knocking Ray off the apron, and then stunning Jerry Lynn. Lynn was able to get a chinlock, but Anderson slid out and got another right. Going up top, Ray catches Anderson’s leg, crotching him. Ray gets the tag in and hits a slam and a splash for a two count. Going to a chinlock, Ray goes for several elbows before tagging in Lynn. Lynn rolls and pokes Anderson in the eyes. Mocking the Rolling Thunder, Jerry Lynn cheaply kicks Andersons’ side. Anderson rolls-up Lynn, but only gets two. Ray gets tagged, but eats the top turnbuckle when he charges into Anderson. Lynn gets taken out with a Anderson clothsline. Anderson tees off on both of them before hitting a swinging neckbreaker for two. Enzeguri on Ray and Lynn breaks it up and hits several blows to the upper back. Anderson throws Lynn to the outside, and Ray tries the Bubba Bomb. Anderson reverses into the Mic Check, but Lynn pulls Anderson out. Anderson tosses Lynn into the ring steps, and hits the Kenton Bomb. Lynn comes off the top, but connects with Bully Ray. Anderson covers for two. Ray goes up top and Anderson hits low. Lynn distracts Anderson and the ref while Ray recoups and grabs his chain. Nailing Anderson over with it, he covers him for the win.

Bobby Roode faces Fortune member Christopher Daniels up next while Roode’s partner-in-crime James Storm faces the World Champion, Kurt Angle, in the main event.

Backstage, James Storm states that while he is happy for Roode, that doesn’t mean he won’t cause some trouble for Angle.
Back from the break, Styles and Daniels are still brawling, in spite of security trying to separate them. They brawl through the motor cycle entrance, into the Direct Auto Insurance office, brawling back into the ring. Fortune member Kazarian comes down to try to defuse the situation. Kazarian gets Styles to calm down, but Daniels kicks AJ down low and bails.
Kurt Angle talks about training his ass off to keep the world championship, and his trainer, Scott Steiner said he’s going to kick James Storm’s ass.
Before the main event, we go to the locker room where Frankie Kazarian is still trying to reason with Christopher Daniels, who doesn’t want to hear it. Daniels is tired of AJ overshadowing him because he’s not AJ’s +1, and tells Kazarian to talk to AJ because he’s done talking. Kazarian goes and finds AJ, who says that’s their family member right there. Kazarian says we know what he and Lisa have been through the last three years, but AJ says it’s not his fault because Daniels has to run his mouth every time he gets a microphone in his hand. Kazarian says he’s trying to be the voice of reason, but this is ridiculous. AJ grabs a trash can and starts to puke in it, which for some godawful reason the camera stays on, rather than focus on Kazarian.
Instead, we go to Hogan’s office where he says he’s going to drop a bombshell on Sting next week, then we’re off to the ring for our main event…
James Storm vs. Kurt Angle
The two trash talk each other after the bell rings and a shoving match ensues. Angle gets a hip-lock and Storm scurries to the ropes. Storm starts throwing haymakers and hits a hip toss before dropping to a side headlock. Another takedown to the headlock by Storm. Angle fights his way to his feet and cinches in a hammerlock before hitting the big uppercut. Storm sends Angle barreling over the top rope, headfirst into the entrance ramp. Storm goes to the floor and sends Kurt face first into the barricades and the steps before Storm goes into the steps himself. Angle rolls into the ring and fixes his kneepad before going back out and nails a belly-to-belly suplex to Storm on the entrance ramp. Sliding Storm into the ring, Angle cinches in a chin lock with a knee to the back before Storm powers out. Eating a knee to the ribs, Angle covers for a two count. A reverse bear-hug by Angle is applied and Storm elbows out of it only to crossbody each other, prompting the referee to start counting. Storm is able to get to his feet first at seven and starts a fury of right hands, a atomic drop, and a jumping backbreaker for two. Storm starts hitting the chops to but walks right into a belly-to-belly suplex by Angle for two. Angle tries the Angle Slam, Storm tries the Eye of the Storm, but Angle cinces the Ankle Lock. Storm tries to roll-out, but is unable to. Storm teases tapping, but is able to roll up Angle for two. Angle tries a spear, but hits the ringpost and Storm rolls him up for tow. Slam by Roode leads to him setting up the Last Call Superkick, but Angle hits the three german suplexs and covers for two. Angle limps his way to the top rope and he misses a moonsault. Storm goes up top and Angle tries to meet him up there, but Storm fights him off and hits a flying elbow for two. The two start trading rights with Storm winning and going for the Eye of the Storm. Gunner distracts Storm, and Angle hits the Angle Slam for two. Angle starts slapping Roode, and Storm connects with the Superkick, but kicks referee Brian Hebner. Storm hits Angle with it and covers, but Earl Hebner is pulled out at two. Gunner starts to interfere, but Bobby Roode runs him off. Referee Brian Hebner is starting to stir in the corner as Roode grabs the title belt. Angle and Roode stare off, and Roode holds up the belt as the Beer Money music plays. Roode stares at the title before laying it at Angle’s feet. Angle grabs the belt as they stare off to end the show.
