Greetings everyone!
A few months ago we put an opinion poll up on this website asking you – the fans – for your feelings on the name change from TNA Wrestling to iMPACT Wrestling. Hulk Hogan claims that he wanted to change the name of the promotion because it was very difficult to sit down with potential advertisers and have to explain to them that the company wasn’t just about “tits and ass.” So, we wanted to know what you thought about the name change. Well, over 1,100 of you have spoken and let your opinion be known – you folks love the name iMPACT Wrestling!
As you can see from the results listed below this blurb, more than 600 poll voters either love the iMPACT Wrestling name or don’t think that it’s too bad. Another 300 or so voters think that the new name is just a waste of time or kind of dumb. The rest of the votes fell into the “I don’t care” category. From my perspective, I still think a professional wrestling promotion needs three letters in order to be successful, but I’ve grown to accept and like the iMPACT Wrestling name nonetheless.
