Recently released TNA Impact Wrestling star Amazing Red recently appeared on the ESPN radio Pro Wrestling Report. Red expressed a lot of frustration with his last run in this interview. Giving insight into his view of the backstage goings on.
Give Red his props, a lot of wrestlers give anonymous interviews making outrages claims. Red seems to generally feel he wasn’t treated well and gives his opinions, seemingly without malice.
It should be noted that all major promotions have huge rosters and some people are under utilized always. Reds views of course will be through the prism of his personal disappointment of being one of those. His part starts at about the 24 minute mark:
Joe Vincent says
I’m a fan of Amazing Red. He sounds extremely frustrated and annoyed in this interview and, to some degree, he rambles a little bit. While I can respect that he is coming out and saying these things in public, I think he could use a little training in terms of public relations and how to handle these interviews in a larger, total career perspective. I wish him luck.
William B. West says
Totally agree. I’m a big Red fan as well. As you say he rambles and this could be why TNA never really ran with a character build up. Unless you are an Indy getting by on promoting purely in ring ability it’s really hard to get by on ring talent alone.
