Hey everyone – what did you think about tonight’s Destination X pay-per-view?
For my part, I was glad to see Austin Aries get the contract, but I hope that Jack Evans, Low Ki, and Zema Ion aren’t quickly forgotten. Those guys lit up iMPACT Wrestling over the last few weeks and this fan wants to see more of them. Kendrick winning the X-Division title was good for the division, I think. And having both Rob Van Dam and AJ Styles win their matches seemed natural since neither of their competitors seemed to be engaged in any meaningful storylines at the moment (as for Jerry Lynn, he’s not even signed with the promotion!).
I’m particularly interested in the opinions of anyone who actually saw the show. Did you order the show? If so, why did you order it? Was there a new looking set? What should those of us who didn’t order the show know more than anything else? What was the feel of the crowd? How did the show come off on TV (or on the web if you watched it online)?
Use the comments section below and remember to put your best foot forward and be respectful. The team at TNAStars.com and I can’t wait to hear from you about tonight’s show. Enjoy!

Did anyone out there on the interwebs purchase the show? I came close, but wound up not being available for the first hour and a half of the show so I opted against buying it. But if reviews of the show are good enough, then I’m going to look into purchasing the DVD.

I thought it was a spectactular show … Probably my favorite TNA PPV I’ve seen this year. I was very disappointed that Samoa Joe lost the opening match to Kaz, and I like Kaz, but I feel Joe should be main eventing with Mr. Anderson, kicking ass and taking names.
For me the best match of the night was the contract match … I agree with the audience, who chanted “Sign them all”, these are all incredible wrestlers who if signed would immediately be in my eyes among the X DIvision elite. Having said that they made the right choice with Austin Aries. When you look at the total package of in ring ability, physical presence and mic skills, Aries does indeed top them all. I remember seeing him cut a promo on a very low budget NWA Hollywood televised show, and the guy impressed me and made me laugh, and I remember thinking he outshone everybody he was working with. So I’m glad he’s a part of TNA now.
I thought from the outset that Kendrick and Abyss should be the main event–the X Division title match should be the main event at the X Division PPV right? After watching the show, I still think so. Was Daniels and Styles the better wrestling match? Yes. But thematically and dramatically, they were trumped by Kendrick and the X Division battling it out with Immortal and taking back their championship, followed by confetti and celebrations, and the whole David beats Goliath factor. It was a great moment, and that should have closed the PPV.
I thought at first Lynn and RVD weren’t going to live up to their reputation and legacy, and I never saw those old matches so I don’t know, but they did end up putting on a compelling match with a great finish.
That’s what I can think of off the top of my head. It was a great showcase of what makes TNA/Impact Wrestling so wonderful and unique.
