The final cable rating and viewership estimates for last night’s episode of iMPACT Wrestling on Spike TV are now available and it looks like the show rebounded significantly from its recent head-to-head competition with the NBA Finals. iMPACT Wrestling’s flagship show had a large increase in its final ratings number as well as a sizable increase in overall viewership as compared to last week. This week’s episode of the show scored a final cable rating of 1.25 which represented about 1,766,000 viewers over the course of the show’s two hours. This week’s final rating is 0.24 of a point higher (and some 283,000 more viewers) than last week’s episode, which scored a final cable rating of 1.01 with an average audience of 1,483,000 viewers.
We also know a little bit about the ratings breakdown by hour from this week’s show. The first hour of this week’s iMPACT Wrestling on Spike TV scored a final cable rating of 1.21 while the second hour scored a final cable rating of 1.30. Last night’s episode of iMPACT Wrestling on Spike TV had more viewers than prime time and late night programming on other cable channels like the A&E Network, E!, TruTV, Bravo, TLC, Comedy Central, Discovery, History, ESPN, the Food Network, and TBS.

Ha ha! I think that the folks backstage at iMPACT Wrestling probably agree with you, Radiitz!
I went back and looked at the average rating for May 2011 (i.e. the four shows leading up to last week and the week before’s shows, which both directly competed with the NBA Finals). The average rating for May 2011 was 1.20. Seems like the promotion is heading in the right direction with its 1.25 showing this week.
