Hey everyone – what did you think about tonight’s Sacrifice pay-per-view?
From my perspective, the show seemed to be a little bit too predictable in terms of storyline advancement. If you check out the TNAStars.com staff’s predictions leading into the big event, you’ll see that for most of the matches, it was easy to predict who would win. Although, I guess that the Tommy Dreamer victory was a bit of a surprise. I was glad to see that Mickie James retained the Knockouts Championship and, in the process, set Tara free from Madison Rayne. I’m not sure how much longer Madison Rayne has as one of the top tier Knockouts in the company – not because she doesn’t have the talent, but how long can one woman be the centerpiece of the division in this day and age?
I’m particularly interested in the opinions of anyone who actually saw the show. Did you order the show? If so, why did you order it? Was there a new looking set? What should those of us who didn’t order the show know more than anything else? What was the feel of the crowd? How did the show come off on TV (or on the web if you watched it online)?
Use the comments section below and remember to put your best foot forward and be respectful. The team at TNAStars.com and I can’t wait to hear from you about tonight’s show. Enjoy!

I ordered the PPV and, as I nearly always do, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I ordered it initially through tnaondemand.com, which is where I usually prefer to see the show. I typically watch on it on my PC with my girlfriend. This time though we were out if town and using a relative’s pc and internet connection, which wasnt as fast as what were used to.
This was unfortunate aforementioned us because the show tended to buffer every five minutes and we missed some of the spots in the first few bouts. I then ordered the PPV a second time through the tv and intend to see how about getting reimbursed.
For those with a wired, fast connection I can say that tnaondemand normally works very well, they have their own player that seems much more effective to WWEs on demand service, which uses windows media player and for us did not display at a comparable quality to TNAs.
Also, fir interested parties, you can getting some cool stuff for ordering online. For tis purchase were getting sent a Mr Anderson t-shirt in the size of our choice and an Anderson hat to boot.
Anyway, my thoughts on the show itself …
Robbie E. Versus Brian Kendrick
Like others I’m not sure why this was on the show, but I am glad it was. They put on a very entertaining show, with the right mix of humor and action. I was especially pleased to see that Kendrick got the win. Robbie is a talented individual, but he’s a former x division champ, and Kendrick strikes me as the kinda wrestler who’s really, really good, but never gets a proper shot or push … Whch is what theyren playing into I think with the current storyline about the division. I hope this is a sign that Kendrick is getting a much deserved pushed into the X Division title scene, and possibly even some kind of showdown with some Immortal members.
Abyss versus Crimson
Although Abyss is the sort of guy that’s great to go to when a face needs a legit threat, this was none the less the kind of match that for the most part prompts my girlfriend o turn the channel. She likes high octane excitement. She’s a fan of RVD and the Motor CIty Machine Guns because she knows she’s going to one he’ll of a show when she sees them, and I understand that. This was a match between two big guys sort of knocking into each other.
What.both these competitors need is an opponent with a more varied offense who can make them look good with some proper bump taking. I don’t think their styles compliment each other very well. That said, the finishing maneuver Crimson used on Abyss was thunderous. Abyss got some air time on that one, and I punctuated the match nicely.
Mexican America versus Ink Inc
I don’t actually remember this bout too well truth be told, so that can’t be good. I like that despite the patriotic overtones, they haven’t forgotten the storyline between Shannon Moore and Neal about disrespect. At one point during the match Moore grabbed Rosita by the hair, and Jesse Neal put a stop to that real quick, which cost them. I’m interested to see where all that goes, but I sincerely hope it ends with Jesse Neal being converted into a military punk badass machine, rather than a breakup of some kind. Neal needs Moore, and I don’t see Neal succeeding on his own with a nice guy persona.
AJ Styles versus Tommy Dreamer
This was a crowd pleaser, as much of it took place within tqhe crowd itself. It’s what you really want to see when Dreamer is involved in a match. I enjoyed Dreamer busting out the fork for revenge, and the assist from Bully Ray and subsequent involvement if the Fallen Angel. I wonder if well see a program between Bully and Daniels? Dreamer finished with an inspired piledriver through the table, and if he didn’t quite hit I dead on, that’s probably a good thing.
Mixed Tag Match
It’s great seeing Chyna in the ring again, and looking so good too! She nearly botched a body slam on Jeff, but made up for it with a solid suplex. Fans all over the world were probably laughing hand clapping when she pull Karen Jarrett through the pedigree ( speaking of exes!). That was the highlight for me. Kudos to Karen for taking a great bump. There was great drama built throughout the match as everyone wanted to see Karen eat canvas, and they teased it effectively before it finally happened. Angle and Jeff delivered a solid performance, as he always do.
Max Buck bs. Kazarian
This was a beautiful match, as I suspected it would be. It’s a shame there wasn’t much build up for it on television leading in. There was an ugly spill when Kaz power bombed Buck off the apron onto the outside–the back of Max’s head hit concrete, and the ref rushed out to make sure he was okay. Kaz wrapped it up fairly quickly after that, and I have a feeling the match ended early, which of course was professional of them, and doesn’t take away from the quality of the match itself, which was definitely high.
Madison Rayne bs. Mickey James
This had a predictable ending … Despite Tara s insistence that she was conflicted, I don’t think anyone really bought that she might cost Mickey the win. None the less it was solid outing, and I’m glad they got to work a longer match than last months cage match, which was probably necessarily short due to Mickeys injury. I loom forward to Tara working fully as a Face and also a new challenger for James … Chyna anyone?
Tag Titles
For never having worked together, Matt Hardy and Harris did a great job as a team and appearing to be a threat to Beer Money, both dramatically and physically. It was an entertaining contest, with a great finish. I hope Harris sticks around with Immortal, and I actually hope he and Matt remain a team, because the tag division could always use more stars, and so could Immortal.
RVD versus Sting
This was bother entertaining match with some cool and clever spots, and some outside the ring brawling in the audience, perhaps to make up for the fact that while Sting can still go, he can’t do everything he used to. They told a great story in which Sting appeared to really have done his homework. For a good while RVDs offense just wasn’t clicking. Stng was ahead of him at every step, turning the off the ropes reverse monkey flip into a pin, holding onto the ropes during the corner monkey flip so that Rob just hit the mat, and putting his knees up for the rolling thunder.
Van Dam got his revenge though, countering a Stinger Splash with a great spinning heel kick. It’s amazing how fast he can do those. After the match was over, there was some old school sportsmanship between the two, with Van Dam raising Stings hand. Interesting how weve now come full circle and almost gone back to the days before the Attitude era when it was cool to be nice to your opponent after the match.
They also did a good Jon of setting up Thursdays Impact Wrestling, and ultimately Slammiversay, with Anderson and Sting face to face in the middle of the ring when the show went dark.
The audience seemed to be pretty into it, and it made me wonder why they use fake boos and cheers during the tv show sometimes. I mean this was the Impact Zone right? Even if they di need to get out if the venue, and I agree that they do, if the audience is indifferent you’re just not doing something right. Just my opinion.
All in all a great show. I order TNAs show every month, and am glad that I do. I will most certainly order again next month : )
I apologize for any typos, I’m sort of belting this out in a hurry on my iPad, and Im not used to the keyboard … Nd autocorrect sometimes does strange things too.
