TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Rob Van Dam vs. Sting
Dillon’s Thoughts: Pretty awkward, having a face vs face title match main event. However this seems to work for me, even if RVD doesn’t stand a chance.
Dillon’s Prediction: Sting retains, probably via Anderson getting involved?
Jarrett’s Thoughts: RVD is the uncrowned TNA champion after the way he lost it back in August. That has been pushed over the past few months. But I don’t see RVD walking out of Sacrifice as champ.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Sting retains
Joe’s Thoughts: I don’t think that Rob Van Dam is getting the belt tonight. I get the impression that the gang at TNA Wrestling want to push as much as they can out of the Sting name and fan base before having him lose the strap.
Joe’s Prediction: Sting
Mark’s Thoughts: Sting has been quite the fighting champion. I think his reign will continue. Additionally, I think that the road to Anderson vs. Sting will be much more interesting than the road to Anderson vs. RVD.
Mark’s Prediction: Sting
Scott’s Thoughts: Should be a good match if RVD and Sting both bring their “A Game”. RVD will go high risk and seemingly have Sting’s number but a mistake will cost Van Dam.
Scott’s Prediction: Sting
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Sting
Dillon’s Thoughts: Glad to see Harris back, and interesting twist.
Dillon’s Prediction: I actually think Hardy & Harris will win the titles. Beer Money has had them forever.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Beer Money is one of the most over acts in TNA.And as much as I hate to say it this is the beginning of the end of Beer Money. Chris Harris left TNA in 2007 to pursue a career in the WWE. He became the three week wonder “Braden Walker.” Storm and Roode was thrown together but instantly became popular. No doubt that America’s Most Wanted will be reforming soon, but no one will ever forget BEER…MONEY!!
Jarrett’s Prediction: Hardy/Harris
Joe’s Thoughts: I wasn’t watching too much TNA Wrestling back when Chris Harris was a part of the roster, but I did see a video online of him as Braden Walker. Yikes… I don’t think that tonight is the night that Beer Money loses the championships.
Joe’s Prediction: Beer Money
Mark’s Thoughts: I want to say that Beer Money will win this, but I have a very funny feeling in me that says they won’t. But even if Chris Harris knows James Storm inside and out, what chemistry does Matt Hardy and Chris Harris have?
Mark’s Prediction: Beer Money. I’d rather TNA not take the WWE approach and make the tag titles just another part of a storyline as opposed to being its own division.
Scott’s Thoughts: Chris Harris’ return to the promotion adds intrigue to this match up, especially given his history with James Storm. Beer Money are the premier tag team in the world right now though and they will win comfortably.
Scott’s Prediction: Beer Money
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Matt Hardy & Chris Harris
Dillon’s Thoughts: I’m actually a little bored seeing these two go at it PPV after PPV. However they’ve yet to have a bad match, not counting their short face off at Lockdown.
Dillon’s Prediction: James retains & Tara is free.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This is so predictable.
Jarrett’s Prediction: James retains
Joe’s Thoughts: This one won’t be as short as their pay-per-view match last month, but the result will be the same with the added caveat that Tara is free from Madison Rayne.
Joe’s Prediction: Mickie James
Mark’s Thoughts: Mickie James destroyed Madison Rayne with one arm. Since Tara is probably not going to interfere, Mickie James got this.
Mark’s Prediction: Mickie James.
Scott’s Thoughts: Tara will snap on Madison and cost her the match.
Scott’s Prediction: Mickie James
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Mickie James
TNA X-Division Championship
Max Buck vs. Kazarian
Dillon’s Thoughts: Wow, has any TV time even been devoted to this? Still, it should be a great X-Division match.
Dillon’s Prediction: Kaz retains. I’m betting Jeremy costs Max the match.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: This should have been hyped more. I just see Bischoff interrupting this.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Kazarian
Joe’s Thoughts: If Kazarian were to lose the belt, it would immediately create a “rematch” and feud between he and Max Buck. I just don’t see that happening in Kazarian’s future.
Joe’s Prediction: Kazarian
Mark’s Thoughts: Yeah! Another match with no previous buildup. At least the X-Division is getting shown.
Mark’s Prediction: Kaz
Scott’s Thoughts: I think it’s too early for Max Buck to be champ and Kazarian needs a decent run with the title. This could be an unexpected crowd pleaser.
Scott’s Prediction: Kazarian
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Kazarian
Dillon’s Thoughts: Ugh, is the Angle/Jarrett story done yet? Great matches but I’m bored.
Dillon’s Prediction: Kurt & Chyna get the win.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Chyna wrestling? Never thought I’d see it again. Chyna isn’t losing her debut. Period.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Angle/Chyna
Joe’s Thoughts: You don’t bring in a big name tabloid celebrity and former championship-level wrestler like Chyna only to have her lose her debut match.
Joe’s Prediction: Kurt Angle & Chyna
Mark’s Thoughts: This might as well be a handicap match. Or maybe this won’t look the way I’m thinking it’s going to look. But I’m still rather sure of the end result.
Mark’s Prediction: Kurt Angle & Chyna
Scott’s Thoughts: After nine years away from the world of wrestling, Chyna has caused a stir with her in ring return. I can see Jeff eating the pin from Chyna.
Scott’s Prediction: Kurt Angle & Chyna
William’s Thoughts: Kurt and Chyna, you don’t get the kind of buzz Chyna recieved and have her lose. I’m hoping there isn’t a heel turn by her, that has been overdone.
William’s Prediction: Kurt & Chyna
AJ Styles vs. Tommy Dreamer
Dillon’s Thoughts: I’m curious as to this new direction Dreamer is headed in.
Dillon’s Prediction: Dreamer wins, furthering the feud with AJ.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: I don’t know who thought of Dreamer’s tweener turn, but let this match either leave a full face or full heel. It’s too confusing because I don’t know who I’m suppose to cheer for.
Jarrett’s Prediction: AJ
Joe’s Thoughts: If AJ Styles wins this match (as he should), then the interaction between he and Tommy Dreamer is essentially over, right? Because of that fact, I can’t imagine that Styles walks away with the victory in this one.
Joe’s Prediction: Tommy Dreamer
Mark’s Thoughts: This angle kinda sorta came from nowhere. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.
Mark’s Prediction: AJ Styles
Scott’s Thoughts: This is an odd last minute match up. I feel there is a bigger story behind Dreamer’s turn than simply revenge for the EV2 beatdown at the hands of Fortune early last year. I would like AJ to win to cement his position as a true top dog in TNA but feel interference may cost him.
Scott’s Prediction: Tommy Dreamer
William’s Thoughts: I’d love it if Dreamer won, but I’m afraid this one goes to AJ.
William’s Prediction: A.J. Styles
Mexican America vs. Ink, Inc.
Dillon’s Thoughts: LAX was better, but this new faction isn’t completely atrocious. Ink Inc need a path. Their fighting, now their cool, then they challenge Beer Money for the titles, now their against Mexican America?
Dillon’s Prediction: Mexican America.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Let this Mexican America crap end, please. It’s sad that this is all I can say about this match.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Ink, Inc.
Joe’s Thoughts: The only reason why I think Mexican America wins this match is because Ink, Inc. has nowhere new to go if they get the victory.
Joe’s Prediction: Mexican America
Mark’s Thoughts: Due to the recent going-ons of the world, Ink, Inc. probably wins this by default. It’ll be a nice feel good match.
Mark’s Prediction: Ink, Inc.
Scott’s Thoughts: Another oddly worked match up. Ink Inc were all about disrespect recently in their feud with Steiner/Crimson, yet now they want to defend American values. Mexican America need momentum and will win via interference from Rosita/Sarita.
Scott’s Prediction: Mexican America
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Ink Inc
Abyss vs. Crimson
Dillon’s Thoughts: Should be a physical match.
Dillon’s Prediction: Crimson.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Crimson is in a Samoa Joe fasion in TNA right now. Abyss doesn’t stand a chance.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Crimson
Joe’s Thoughts: I’ve always been a fan of big, tough guys who like to beat the hell out of their opponents. So… I’m becoming a bit of a Crimson mark. He appears to be so angry all of the time, which seems to be the right mindset for a professional wrestler, right?!
Joe’s Prediction: Crimson
Mark’s Thoughts: Abyss won’t end the streak that they’ve been hyping up so much. That’s going to be Samoa Joe’s objective, which would create a much better feud for Joe than the whole situation between him and Pope.
Mark’s Prediction: Crimson
Scott’s Thoughts: After Crimson’s brutal attack on the monster, Abyss is seeking bloody revenge. This one could get ugly fast but I expect Crimson to win in the end as I believe TNA are pinning their hopes on him becoming a huge star.
Scott’s Prediction: Crimson
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Abyss
Robbie E. vs. Brian Kendrick
Dillon’s Thoughts: Glad to see their not forgetting about these guys!
Dillon’s Prediction: Kendrick, although both need a win IMO.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Another X-Division match with no hype. I just see Immortal getting involved.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Robbie E
Joe’s Thoughts: This was a weird, last minute addition to the show. However, both of these guys have talent – all gimmicks aside. Look, there’s no way I can suggest my fellow Jersey Shore guy is going to lose a random match…
Joe’s Prediction: Robbie E.
Mark’s Thoughts: PPV matches with no previous build up are awesome, and sometimes full of surprises. Will Kendrick be in character though? Last we saw him, he was upset about Jay Lethal’s release, and he was not in Monk/Philosopher/Jedi form.
Mark’s Prediction: Kendrick
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Brian Kendrick
