Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem’s official correspondent, Paterson from New Jersey:
What fans can expect for Eddie Edwards’ next defense of the ROH World Championship at “ROH Revolution: Canada” in Toronto, Ontario vs. Chris Hero: “I called a recent match that Chris Hero had with TJ Perkins, and that gave me some insight into what we are going to see in this match. It started with both men on their feet, with some chain wrestling that was back & forth and very even. When Perkins tried to quicken the pace, Hero stayed with him step for step until Hero came victorious, due to his powerful strikes. While I think Edwards & Hero can be a similar match, I think that Eddie Edwards brings different dynamics to the match than TJ Perkins did, but I think it might be the same kind of attack.”
What Jay Lethal can bring to Ring of Honor when he returns at next month’s “Best In The World 2011” iPPV next month in New York City: “I think for Jay Lethal, the world is his oyster. When he was last with the company, he was 21 years old. Now, he’s a 26-year-old man, and he’s going to be given every opportunity to go out there an prove that he is more than just some sideshow dressing up like a senior citizen. If Jay Lethal wants to prove the critics, naysayers, & those who saw and painted him in a certain light in TNA wrong, he is going to have every avenue to do that under the three letters he knows so well, and that’s ROH.”
More is contained in Kevin’s return to The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network, including his candid thoughts & comments on the impact that “Honor Takes Center Stage” had on Ring of Honor, the highlights of the promotion’s Atlanta debut, why Rhett Titus may be one to watch in the coming months, plus a complete preview of this Saturday night’s “ROH Revolution: Canada” event at The Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto.
