Source: Various
A variety of websites are copying, pasting, and changing a story regarding Desmond Wolfe’s physical status which first appeared online a few days ago. The various reports cite Randi Ricci’s blog as the source for the information. So I went over to Randi’s blog and pulled this information directly from a blog post there:
I have heard that Nigel Mcguiness has hepatitis C and this is the reason he is not wrestling for TNA.
I like Nigel and I see him as a great talent. I sincerely hope this isn’t true but if you think about it, he was hired by WWE and the way it went down could only be from a bad blood test, injury, or dope.
Nigel had the torn biceps and WWE knew that so that can’t be it. And he started wrestling with TNA immediately.
If he does have “Hep C” I feel really bad for the ROH guys that bled with him in matches and here’s some more “food for thought” and how this may play out for TNA;
This would mean that they knew about Nigels possible health issue which put everyone and anyone that he has worked with in “harms way” which is borderline “un forgivable” and just may ruin TNA with all of the other current work and working condition issues.
I’ve heard they are going to give Nigel a job in the office so, they must be scared to fire him and would mean to me that they had this knowledge upon hiring him.
Again, I like Nigel and I hope it isn’t true and even though I feel “creepy” writing about it something tells me I needed to.
Now I know the internet wrestling world is filled with people who are more concerned about getting hits to their website rather than reporting the facts around a story, so let me take a moment to cut through the bullshit and point out one of Ricci’s major points in this post. The first sentence begins with: “I have heard…”
In the internet wrestling world, this obvious statement of rumor turns into “Reason for Desmond Wolfe’s Absence REVEALED!” or “Wolfe Sick – Details Inside!” In reality, what Ricci is saying is that he heard a rumor about Wolfe’s health status. I have no way to confirm that rumor (which, by the way, is the same rumor that has been circulating the internet for weeks if not months regarding Wolfe – with no confirmation at all).
However, in the comments section of his blog, Ricci makes sure that folks don’t cite him as saying Wolfe does have Hepatitis C. He posted this in response to someone’s comment: “I never said he had it and I sincerely hope he doesn’t.”
However, the folks at TNAStars.com join in Ricci’s statement above that we hope this news isn’t true.

“Hulk Hogan recently posted the following on Twitter: “Desmond’s situation is beyond TNA’s control, the ball is completely in his court.” The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Wolfe has been appearing for various community theaters in Florida as well as working on several writing projects.”
that’s probably the most factual thing I’ve read concerning Wolfe, which probably has some backing if Hogan did in fact say that on his twitter, but I don’t have twitter so I haven’t gone to confirm it or anything like that.

Most of these idiots need to go take a reading comprehension course, or an ethics course.

DJ – As a guy who has a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in English and a minor in Philosophy (among others), I couldn’t agree more!
Mark – That’s the other report that I saw floating around, but I wasn’t able to find the note on Hulk Hogan’s Twitter account. In truth, though, I’m not the best with Twitter yet, so I have no reason to think that the tweet isn’t there – just that I haven’t figured out how to find it yet. 🙂

So I found the tweet.
On April 15th, a user known as mitaka_88 asked when Wolfe would return , Hulk replied that “the ball is completely in his [Wolfe’s] court.”
I don’t know how to link tweets, if you can even do that… but I definitely found it.
Joe says
Okay, good. Thanks, Mark! Then maybe I can draft up another entry for the latest updates board and use your comment as a base for the story.
I have to figure out that Twitter. Here I am – a guy who owns a multitude of websites (each with Twitter accounts) as well as a web site design and maintenance company – and I can’t get myself to sit down and learn more about Twitter. How embarrassing!
bachelor of farts says
you have a bachelor’s in english…
un forgivable
Joe says
I’m not sure of the reference… perhaps you mean to suggest that instead of “Bachelor of the Arts Degree in English” I should have written “Bachelor’s in English?” Is that it?
That would be incorrect, actually. In fact, as I sit here and look at the diploma on my wall it says “Bachelor of the Arts in English,” (among other standardized text found on most diplomas). So, you know – not sure what your comment is about.
But thanks for stopping by TNAStars.com!
