The article below was printed on the Orlando Sentinel’s website. It discusses Matt Morgan‘s upcoming speech to seniors at Ocoee High School regarding how he has handled living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (more commonly known as ADHD). Morgan frequently speaks about his experiences with ADHD and is the national spokesman for Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD). The article below is pretty good – I suggest giving it a quick read through.
Matt Morgan, a TNA (Total Nonstop Action) wrestler, will speak to seniors at Ocoee High School next week about his life with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Ocoee senior Aaron Davison, a wrestling fan on TNA”s VIP list, was emailed by the organization to see if his school would like Morgan to speak. The wrestling show is taped at Universal Studios.
Davison jumped at the chance, and invited Morgan to appear before seniors at their breakfast next Wednesday. The 7-foot, 310-pound professional wrestler’s signature move is the “Carbon Footprint” and he is known as “The Blueprint” in the ring.
A Fairfield, Conn. native, Morgan was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and likes to speak about how he has accomplished his dreams through hard work and determination. In 2009 he became the national spokesman for CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) the nation’s leading nonprofit for people with ADHD.
Before joining the TNA, Morgan appeared on “American Gladiators” and “Beast.” He also played basketball for Monmouth University. According to his official bio, Morgan sent a swab of his DNA into space in 2008 with space tourist and video game developer Richard Garriott.
