The folks over at ProWrestling.NET are reporting that the cancellation of WWE Superstars on WGN America is now confirmed. According to reports, the final airing of WWE Superstars will be on April 7, 2011. This, of course, is a major victory for those of us who have enjoyed making a mockery of the nonexistent Thursday Night War between WWE Superstars on WGN America and TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV.
In fact, TNAStars.com has created an entire Ratings War area dedicated to following the nonexistent battle for Thursday night dominance between these two programs. You can review the current ratings battle between these two shows by visiting our Ratings War area.
While I never actually watched the Superstars program in its current format, I’ll miss being able to “report” on the battle for Thursday night supremacy between iMPACT! and Superstars. It was one of my favorite faux news/comedy pieces to update each week because these two shows were never in competition. Oh well, here’s hoping that some other wrestling show comes along on Thursday nights so TNAStars.com can keep reporting on the nonexistent battle for Thursday nights.
