According to a report by the mainstream news site of the FayObserver, Jeff Hardy is still a major draw and extremely over with the fans in Fayetteville for the 3/3/11 TNA iMPACT! taping. From their report:
“Even with professional wrestling legends such as Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair taking the stage Thursday night, signs for Hardy outnumbered all other signs in the crowd combined.”
The report also gave a crowd estimate. According to the site 3,500 were in attendance for the taping. While many WWE fans and dirt sheets will no doubt bash this attendance number, I remember a time not to long ago when WWE RAW was doing similar numbers and the WWE had been around for decades.

North Carolina. There’s the answer why Jeff was being cheered most.

If there were 3,500 fans in attendance at the show, then it has to be considered a major success. Even if, let’s say, half of the tickets were papered (i.e. given away for free; and that number is ridiculously high in terms of papered tickets, but this is just an example), that’s still 1,750 paying fans which is 1,750 more than pay to watch the show for free at the iMPACT! Zone.
