This is one of those stories that really makes me laugh. Someone out there on the interwebs decided a few days ago that they would generate a completely false rumor about TNA Wrestling killing off the X-Division. They backed this lie by claiming that multiple sources within the promotion said that the X-Division was on its way out. Unfortunately, since this lie has been twisted and turned and bent and rewritten so many times in the last few days, we can’t accurately single out an original source.
And, frankly, I’m sure that original source wants to find as many ways as they can to wipe that egg off of their face – especially given the fact that both Eric Bischoff and now Dixie Carter have come out publicly against this lie. We brought you Bischoff’s comments yesterday. Below are the comments that Carter posted on her Facebook page yesterday regarding this lie:
Not sure where you’ve heard the X Division is going away but it’s not true at all. I’m working to beef it up with both familiar & new faces.
Sure, this is somewhat humorous for a guy like me – who’s spent 15 years watching hit-desperate professional wrestling websites create pure lies to drive traffic to their websites. However, I’m sure that this is frustrating for someone like Carter or someone like Bischoff both of whom – despite what the angry, malcontent, vocal minority on the internet might suggest – are doing their best to increase awareness of TNA Wrestling.
Remember folks, check your sources before you believe what you read!
