Just when you think you’ve seen it all in pro wrestling Val Venis (Sean Morley) proves you wrong. In what has to be considered a sad exhibition Sean has released a video on the internet where he bashes Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Shane Helms, and Michael Hayes.
It’s clear from the tone in the video that Sean holds some heavy jealousy problems on what these men have achieved in the business. He goes so far as to call Michael Hayes a “wannabe”. Michael Hayes for those who don’t know is a former Georgia Championship Wrestling, NWA, WCW, and World Class Wrestling champion.
I’m assuming Mr. Morely is disenchanted with his lack of career and is looking to get his name back out there since he appears sober in the video.

A few things stand out to me. First, the entire thing sounds like he’s trying to cut a promo (which is sad for so many reasons).
Second, he bashes Shannon Moore and Shane Helms – meanwhile, these two are among the best light heavyweight professional wrestlers in the world today.
And third, I hate this bullshit argument about “paying dues.” Let me ask the world something – when Cleveland drafted LeBron James, did they bench him for the first few years so he could “pay his dues?” No. That’s ridiculous.
Morley’s whole tirade about paying dues reminds me of the gigantic embarrassment that WWE and Paul Levesque should have felt after the Benoit tribute when that idiot Levesque praised Benoit for, essentially, hazing new wrestlers. What a disgrace.
Pay your dues… get real.

Yeah, the entire basis for his self-interview is preposterous. If WCW had not raided all the top talent from WWF would Morley have ever made it to TV? I doubt it, he wasn’t even a blink on the radar.
I will not discount Morley’s talent as a wrestling character and he is a competent wrestler. But for him to throw insults about guys who have made money in the business is crazy.
I’ve said before I’m not a huge Hardy fan, but I do recognize their ability and drawing power. I’ve heard many many friends say they are tuning into RAW, iMPACT! or a PPV to see the Hardy’s, I’ve yet to hear one excited about a Val Venis match.
Michael Hayes is a all time great, pure and simple.

lol I love the contradiction he presents for Michael Hayes… “has-been wannabe” nice!

It doesn’t seem well thought out on his part does it?
