A few minutes ago, Eric Bischoff directly rejected a false report that circled its way around the interwebs a little bit earlier today. Through an update to his Facebook page, Bischoff said that the “news” regarding the X-Division being eliminated was news to him. Here is the full text of Bischoff’s update on Facebook:
By the way..don’t know what hit starved loser started the “TNA Is Considering Eliminating the X Division” rumor, but its news to me! People need to realize that the Dirt Sites survive off web hits and they make sh*t up to get them.
Frankly, Bischoff’s last line about dirt sheets generating fake stories to get more hits strikes me because it’s absolutely true. Since day one at TNAStars.com, I’ve tried to eliminate that type of bullshit from this website. In addition, when we post an item that is a rumor (whether the original source shows the item as a rumor or not), we clearly cite the fact that the item is not confirmed, but rather just an internet rumor.
Kudos to Eric Bischoff for blasting the false reports floating around the interwebs. Bischoff’s direct, take no shit attitude regarding the internet liars is one of the reasons why I believe he’s an excellent asset for TNA Wrestling.

Hey Mal – thanks for the comment! I was always a big fan of Eric Bischoff in WCW and I’m a big fan of him in TNA Wrestling. He’s got a mind for this business that transcends what most of the simpletons on the interwebs think pro wrestling should and could be.
