As we showed you previously former WCW and WWE star Shane Helms (the Hurricane) has posted a video on the interwebs where he is said to be signing a contract to return to television. Many wrestling news sites have speculated this can only mean TNA. We pointed out in the article that WWE and Ring of Honor also appear nationally on television and could be possibilities.
Well we can now scratch Ring of Honor from that list. According to Ring of Honor their programming on HDNet will not be picked up after the current contract expires. The statement from RoH, “Ring of Honor completed its 2 year TV contract with HDNet. During this time “ROH on HDNet” fans witnessed many great matches, the introduction of the ROH Television Title, and the crowning of new tag champions, among other historical moments. HDNet will air new episodes of ROH until 4/4/11. Please continue to support ROH and watch these new shows on HDNet. The final ROH on HDNet TV tapings are scheduled for January 21st & 22nd in Philadelphia, so come out and support ROH as we close out our weekly run on HDNet.”
Ring of Honor also reportedly gave permission for one of their contracted stars El Generico to participate in tryout dark match Tuesday against Amazing Red in TNA. So it would appear they would be looking to shed contracts not sign them.

Wait, so where does ROH go from here?
phantomrunner says
That’s what I’m thinking; what the heck will happen to ROH in April? I really hope they get on to another channel.

I have Time Warner and unfortunately never had HDNet but would have loved to watched Ring of Honor.
