The folks over at WrestleZone are reporting that the Monday Night RAW writing team is in a panic over the Giants vs. Vikings game being rescheduled for tonight – during the scheduled three hour, Slammy Awards edition of RAW. Here is the text of the WrestleZone report:
WrestleZone has learned several members of the WWE creative team are deeming the 3 hour Slammy Awards as “the longest day in history just waiting to happen.”
With the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings now playing a day late in Detroit due to the massive weather front in Minneapolis, Raw is now facing monster competition from the NFL on a night where Raw seemed to have nothing to worry about.
“It’s a key game for both teams, and New York is still the largest media market in the country,” a key WWE insider told WrestleZone this evening, “the creative team is just waiting for Vince (McMahon) to change the script and attempt to hot shot the show in order to grab the public’s interest right away.”
