A variety of internet sources are giving some indication as to how last night’s episode of iMPACT! fared on Spike TV. Reports around the interwebs suggest that last night’s episode of iMPACT! averaged about 1,508,000 viewers throughout the two hour show. This is approximately 22,000 more viewers than last week, but the increase isn’t big enough to warrant any major increase in the final cable ratings.
In fact, reports also suggest that last night’s episode of iMPACT! scored a final cable rating of 1.09. That’s not so bad when you consider that last week’s episode scored a 1.01 final cable rating. However, it’s always tough to compare week-to-week numbers because cable ratings are based off of the number of viewers watching cable on that day at that time.
I’ll be interested to see both the DVR+3 numbers for last night’s show as well as the quarter hour breakout when both figures are available. Also, I like to check out the iMPACT! episodes on Spike.com about one week after they are first run on the television to see how many folks watched the full show online. As of this entry’s publication, about 1,300 people have watched the show online at Spike.com.
For comparison’s sake, reports indicate that last night’s episode of Superstars on WGN America scored a 0.50 final cable rating which represents about 537,000 viewers. If these numbers are correct, then iMPACT! nearly tripled the Superstars audience. But, again, that’s comparing apples to tennis shoes and not much can be drawn from the comparison.
