The latest TNA contract rumor to hit the interwebs belongs to Samoa Joe. PWInsider.com is reporting that Joe’s contract has expired and that he will be make pay per appearance dates for the company until a new deal is worked out. PWInsider tends to be a bit more reliable than The Wrestling Observer but keep in mind nothing has been confirmed.
The net was abuzz before the last TNA PPV that Rino’s contract was up and he would be dismissed afterward. This of course was not the case and he was still with the company and even in a major angle with Rob Van Dam.
We will definitely update you on the situation with Joe if/when we get any independent confirmation.

I feel that it maybe possible that Rhino is working on a pay-per-appearance deal and he might be dismissed from his services soon. On iMPACT Flair noted that [He and Rhino] would talk about his contract. This might just be for television, but may mirror what’s going on behind closed doors.
I don’t know what to think about Joe, but he’s been a decent name in TNA, I don’t know why they’d wait until now before they negotiate his contract. But that could be anyone’s guess

That’s the point though. Most assume Rhino is working pay-per-appearance because the sheets all said his deal was up and he would be gone. Once he was still around, they changed their tune to pay-per appearance. Nothing from Rhino, nothing from TNA.
Because everyone read his deal was up and believed it, now everyone believes he MUST be on pay-per-appearance. He very well could be but I have no reason to believe he is not under contract either.

I get the feeling that TNA Wrestling is pushing the “Rhino’s contract” storyline as a way to mock the internet. He’s probably under some type of agreement with the company, but you know how Vince Russo like to take digs at the dirt sheets and their assumptions.
