Dillon’s Thoughts: I like that Matt Morgan is getting a second PPV shot. It keeps his last one from looking like a last-minute throw away match/angle. Having Anderson as special ref only adds to the entertainment value.
Dillon’s Prediction: Matt Morgan will be an awesome TNA World Champion one day… but not that day. Even with Anderson as special ref, I see Hardy holding the belt much longer.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: I love they’ve added the element that would make you think Jeff Hardy can lose. They just spent 15,000 for a new custom belt for “Enigmatic Champion” Jeff Hardy (What it says on the belt and makes me think that it will be reused for Hardy later on)
Jarrett’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy retains
Joe’s Thoughts: The addition of Mr. Anderson as the special guest referee is certainly interesting, but with his limited capabilities at the moment, I wonder how much he’ll be able to contribute. As we all know, concussions are nothing to mess with…
Joe’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Jeff Hardy
TNA World Tag Team Championship
Full Metal Mayhem Match
Generation Me vs. The Motor City Machine Guns
Dillon’s Thoughts: Like the MMG vs Beer Money series, every match they’ve had vs GenMe has been awesome. Very happy to see their building GenMe with some mic time too.
Dillon’s Prediction: I think GenMe will get the win and the titles. It’s the only thing I can see happening to keep their stock rising and keep their momentum going. The tag division is turning into X-Division with GenMe, MMG, Ink Inc, and I have absolutely no problem with that!
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Wow. I didn’t think that they could make anymore crazier matches than they already booked. Nonetheless, I can’t wait. Seeing the Machine Guns wrestle is always a treat and a present and Generation Me are great wrestlers. I don’t see Gen Me winning though. They don’t have the credibility to hold the titles…yet
Jarrett’s Prediction: The Motor City Machine Guns retain
Joe’s Thoughts: The only prediction that anyone can make about this match and be fairly certain that it’s correct is that this match will steal the show. I think that Generation Me has all of the potential in the world, but the Motor City Machine Guns are still building their brand as the top tag team in the industry, so I think they get the win and get to continue on their current streak.
Joe’s Prediction: Motor City Machine Guns
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: MCMG
Dillon’s Thoughts: For fans of great wrestling matches, this one should steal the show and be a great match to close out the year. I expect both men to give us something to talk about the next day.
Dillon’s Prediction: Douglas Williams will be your new TNA TV Champion. He has to be. Something has to be done to freshen up that belt, which needs a major redesign by the way. Having the uber-cocky Styles taken down a peg can’t hurt either.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: For a straight-up wrestling fan. This and the Tag Team matches alone should make you buy this PPV. AJ Styles is phenomenal, pun intended. He’s the greatest there is today and Douglas Williams is pretty good in his own respect. Expect a show stealer match here.
Jarrett’s Prediction: AJ Styles retains the TV Title
Joe’s Thoughts: This is a match that really should be headlining iMPACT! It seems that folks are forgetting that the Television Championship has, historically, been the belt that is defended on a weekly basis for the television audience. TNA Wrestling needs to get back to that soon…
Joe’s Prediction: Douglas Williams
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Douglas Williams
TNA X-Division Championship
Jay Lethal vs. Robbie E.
Cookie will be in a cage above the ring
Dillon’s Thoughts: A lot of mixed feelings here. I think the Shore gimmick is dumb but it’s gotten TNA some press, and I think Cookie is cute and Robbie is a solid wrestler who plays the role well. He’s the Disco Inferno for a new generation! Jay Lethal has lost steam coming down from his feud with Ric Flair, but at least he’s on TV and fighting for a title.
Dillon’s Prediction: Robbie E. retains by hook or by crook, bro.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Why would I care about Cookie up in a cage? By the way she looks, it looks like it should be a familiar feeling. Why should I care period?
Jarrett’s Prediction: Robbie E retains
Joe’s Thoughts: As one of the few Robbie E. fans on the internet, I’m always pulling for my bro and fellow Jersey guy. That said, this feud has been tough for me since both of these guys are from my home state. In the end, I think Robbie E. and Cookie have the type of heat that the X-Division needs in order to become a relevant part of the program again.
Joe’s Prediction: Robbie E.
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Lethal
MMA Shoot Style Submission Match
Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett
Dillon’s Thoughts: The MMA stuff in pro wrestling has never thrilled me. It bombed when AJ did it with a real fighter, so why would they try again? And with Jeff Jarrett, a traditional wrestler? Just makes no sense besides the fact that he’s mocking Kurt Angle’s MMA dreams, and that’s too tiny of a detail for anyone to really know about unless they read dirt sheets.
Dillon’s Prediction: Although I hate it, I think Joe will get screwed. Jarrett is king of squeaking out a cheating win and I think he’ll do just that with Joe, who has sadly been misused ever since he lost the TNA World title.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: I think that TNA has missed a chance to make Jarrett appear to actually be able to win this by submission. I have found this angle to be great and humorous (especially him “teaching” kids how to be as great as him) I wonder if the stipulation means that it will be submission only. If my pattern of thinking is correct there should be no disqualification as well…
Jarrett’s Prediction: Jeff Jarrett shocks everyone and wins
Joe’s Thoughts: Samoa Joe has become a bore with his bad ass attitude and for some reason when I watch Jeff Jarrett I feel like I’m seeing the same stuff for the last 15 years – albeit at different lengths of hair. If I were in the iMPACT! Zone, I’d probably visit the bathroom during this match.
Joe’s Prediction: Jeff Jarrett
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Samoa Joe
Casket Match
Abyss vs. D’Angelo Dinero
Dillon’s Thoughts: I live the Pope and I’m glad Abyss isn’t the goofy cartoon character he was earlier this year. Still, I’ve come to dread Abyss PPV matches because there’s always some ridiculous gimmick attached. But that’s his niche and he’s mastered it.
Dillon’s Prediction: The Pope wins. It seems like Fortune/Immortal have dominated the last slew of PPVs and iMPACT!s, and I think Pope needs a win to regain some momentum.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: What is a Casket match really supposed to prove. Hopefully we’ll see some weapons so the Monster will at least look at home.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Abyss wins
Joe’s Thoughts: Eric Bischoff and Abyss took the upper hand at Turning Point last month – I think that Pope gets his revenge tonight!
Joe’s Prediction: D’Angelo Dinero
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Abyss
First Blood Match
Rhino vs. Rob Van Dam
Dillon’s Thoughts: Like most of you, I’ve read about Rhino possibly being gone soon. I hated seeing Raven go and I’d hate seeing Rhino go. So win or lose, I hope they keep him. As for the match, I’m looking forward to it. Both men can showcase some intensity, and betrayal is a good reason to get intense.
Dillon’s Prediction: RVD wins, probably with a Van Terminator. And sadly I can see Ric Flair or Eric Bischoff firing him on iMPACT. If only Rhino & Abyss could switch places.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Rhino and RVD in first blood. Should be a classic for fans of the original ECW, however I don’t see how a RVD victory would really do anything for him.
Jarrett’s Prediction: Rhino wins
Joe’s Thoughts: I’m amazed at how quickly the EV 2.0 angle fizzed out into obscurity. Then again, when Rob Van Dam is given a reduced role, Mick Foley goes off and does his own thing away from TNA Wrestling, and most of the rest of the gang gets fired – what do you expect? I’m hoping that this one ends quickly.
Joe’s Prediction: Rob Van Dam
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: RVD
Dillon’s Thoughts: The brawls backstage over the past few weeks have been good but for some reason I just couldn’t get into this feud. I’m glad both are in TNA, even if Mickie has atrocious ring gear & Tara is a semi-lesbian cougar now. Still, their two solid workers & it should be another great women’s match.
Dillon’s Prediction: I see Tara winning. If I can be fantasy Booker for a minute, I see either Madison helping Tara win (because Rayne & Tara are a team & Mickie is gunning for Raynes title) or Madison helps Tara until Sarita shows up to even the odds.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Not too often do you see two of the best women’s wrestlers in the world wrestling. Their brawls make the Falls Count Anywhere necessary and this should be the end to the feud
Jarrett’s Prediction: Mickie James wins to end the feud
Joe’s Thoughts: Watching these two brawl for the last few weeks has been very entertaining. In fact, I’d argue that these women are two of the strongest personalities in TNA Wrestling today. I feel like this one is moving in Mickie James’ favor, though.
Joe’s Prediction: Mickie James
William’s Thoughts:
William’s Prediction: Mickie James
#1 Contender’s Match
Beer Money vs. Ink, Inc.
Dillon’s Thoughts: Tons of different styles here. Storm & Neal are brawlers, Moore is a high flyer and Roode is the technical one. I see them meshing well together and putting on a great match. The Motor City Machineguns may be the champs but Beer Money are the best tag team in wrestling today, so that can only help Ink Inc get better.
Dillon’s Prediction: I literally have no idea. Because we’ve seen Beer Money as champs before, I think Ink Inc might get an upset. Their style also fits that of GenMe & the MMG, so a quality series of matches are guaranteed despite who wins the titles.
Jarrett’s Thoughts: Beer Money is Immortal’s tag team guys, and MCMG/Beer Money has had classic matches in the past.
Jarrett’s Prediction: BEER! MONEY! wins
Joe’s Thoughts: This should be a good match and could be one of the top two or three matches on the entire card. The thing here, though, is that Beer Money is part of this Fortune group and Fortune is part of this Immortal group. When you’re part of a group that is so big, it’s hard to lose a match.
Joe’s Prediction: Beer Money
William’s Thoughts:
