The Observer is reporting that a “source” within TNA claims Kurt Angle has been pushing the company to sign former WWE stars Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Back in the WWE, the trio formed a group called Team Angle. Later Haas & Benjamin broke away and was very successful as a tag team, becoming multi-time WWE tag team champions. Shelton Benjamin has been praised since his debut as being one of the most athletic wrestlers today, and it is interesting to note that he is a huge fan of Sting. In fact, he has stated in many interviews that it’s one of his career goals to wrestle the Stinger. Jackie Gayda (the wife of Charlie Haas) is a former TNA talent and friends with Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett. In fact when Jackie left TNA years ago to have her first child, Dixie made it public knowledge that she was welcome back anytime.
